Well, actually....

....

....

You can, if everything is in working order, listen to me online.

.....

Yah.

.....

I dont know why I didnt bring this up earlier....

.....

However, I'll be off-air for the next 2 weeks - vacation - but when I start up again, I'll give the URL.

However, I wouldnt be surprised if it doesnt work - small college radio station and all....

My brother-in-law does a little jazz show for a college station in southern California and he has listeners as far away as New Hampshire. I listen regularly in northern California with no problem at all, so maybe it'll work. Let us know, I'd love to give it a try! Think of your newly expanded fan base!

A bit of a side-off for this topic is

Do you sing AL's version when you hear the originals on the radio.

Or at least try ?

I sing lines of Al's versions. Especially in verses where the rhyme schemes end with the same sounds.

Smells Like Teen Spirit, American Pie and Piano Man are the most likely songs I'll hear.

I do! They play Beat It a lot at our school so I sing Eat It whenever they play it. The only hard thing is I don't listen to Eat It often and most of the lines sound a lot alike and are easy to mix up.

I guess since Al will be in the Chicago area over the weekend, Mancow had
an interview with him.

STarted out playing Amish Paradise, went into talking about how its too
early for him to be up, talking about his moustache and how he "shaved" it
off 1/2 way through the show last night and now he's starting to regrow it
back.

They played some of his other songs, Cow was trying to get Al to be funny
and Al said it was way too early in the morning. Then Cow goes, so your
married now, and Al said yes I am, and then turd (one of cows sidekicks)
going off on how hot she is and cow was like, Thats weird Al's Wife!! YOu
can't talk about her like that!!

Then they started talking about where he's going to play at, Glen Ellyn and
Joliet, and cow goes, Your not playing in Joliet are you? Thats the worst
city in america. No one is gonna find you funny in Joliet, they live on top
of a Garbage heap. Al's like, oh really? Then i heard just a few minutes
ago they were talking bout Midgets and that if Al had a midget fettish he'll
really like Joliet. LOL I had half a brain to call in and argue that i'll be
in JOliet. But then, nah

Then they started talking about ALCON and Cow was ripping on Amanda again,
and said, "These people show up even when Al won't be there".. So Al Stuck
up for Amanda and said she was very nice, and that he has attended 2 of the
ALCONS..

Then thats all i was able to hear because i came into work.

:)

Made me very happy listening to Al this morning :)

Cool stuff!

You could've probably posted this in the Important Interviews Sticky. Can we make a sticky just for radio appearances cuz there's a lot of little topics here and there about single radio appearances that won't generate much discussion in the future.

Yes he did. I thought that was kinda funny that he started regrowing it already. When I started reading reviews I thought, wow, he really did shave it off. Hehe

It was funny, on my way to work this morning, I heard Mancow say, Weird Al will just have to wait because its phone scam time. That just kinda went over my head, did he really say what I think he did? Shore nuff, after the phone scam, He started talking to Al. Who seemed very chipper at 7:15 a.m. :whoot:

lol

What a guy, that really makes the commute easy in the morning. I really didn't want to get out of my car to go into work.*sigh*

Thanks for sharing that. I'm glad Al made your drive to work more pleasant! Too bad some of the things said weren't very nice. I'm also glad Al stood up for Amanda.
