Yes, let's not forget Germs. Although I never got to see him lick the mic stand. But he did look out into the audience while on all fours, and sent a chill, even with me sitting almost to the lawn! All I could say was "ooh!"

Well that's pretty funny considering Trent Reznor licked his mic in the "Closer" video, rather provocitively I might add. That brings me to a question: why in the Running With Scissors booklet is that song (NIN's "Closer") not given credit? The very beginning and very end are obviously taken from the original song.
Probably because Germs is a style parody. The beginning and end of Germs sound similar to "Closer", but are not exactly the same. Same reason why "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince is not creditted for it's obvious influence on "Traffic Jam".
Patti
btw, Al did lick the mic stand on some shows during TWS, just not at the show I went to, nor did he on the show taped for WAY Live

He may have though. At the part where Al would have licked the mic stand, the camera was on Jim or Steve. It was toward the beginning of the song, and always in the same place -- at least from the 3 shows where I remember noticing it.
Definitely the sounds over the drill parts in Cavity Search.
I listened to that song on my headphones a few times and it sounds like Al has cotton or marshmallows or gauze (or something) in his mouth while he is doing that part. I may be mistaken, but I swear I hear him saying "It hurts, it hurts".
Its pretty hard to hear in your car (you know, especially since you're supposed to be concentrating on driving ).
WBUL is nasty in some parts, but definately a feel good song. It is certainly for a more mature audience - some of my friends still don't get (or admit to getting) the whole "I wanna be your krakatau....etc" part. I get it, but the references don't detract at all from the overall quality of the song. It's not totally sleazy or anything, just.... a subtle innuendo!

Yeah, my friends don't get some parts of it, either. They also don't know the odd vocabulary like we do. I think it's funny when mom and I will be in a car with 4 of my friends and we listen to that song. They all go,"ewww! gross!" and mom and I laugh and go,"He has such a way with words!" Then everyone gives me an odd look.
You think I killed her because of the pony remark?!
You are lucky to have a mom like that! I definately think I'm getting to an age at which I can appreciate constructive nastiness - Jerry Springer used to be one of my least favorite songs because it was so gross, but now I'll listen to it over and over and over again just to her that "Honey, I've been sleeping with your sister!" part. Gotta love that! Seducing goats.....

OMG! I swear you must be my long lost twin! I couldn't stand Jerry Springer either and now I think it's hillarious!
