Hmm, I think Al is getting better. And I can't really say I think any of his albums are spotty. I'm just that die-hard that it's hard for me to say I don't like any of his songs. I like some more than others, but there are very few I'll skip. I like Germs, both the song and the live performance. *That's the Al-gal in me talking, folks*. Plus, when I saw Al sing that song in concert, he looked out into the audience, and looked in my direction. And I was WAY back in Row UU, almost to the lawn at Meadowbrook! I turned into a puddle of Al-gal goo! Anyway, Al's getting better!

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

IM gonna say better. I didnt like PH at first, but it has grown on me. Genius in France is one of the greatest songs ever written.

I don't blame you for thinking it's an original. When the New Kids were last popular, I was in first grade.anthontherun @ Jan 31 2004, 11:55 PM wrote: BTW, "The White Stuff" isn't an original. It's a parody of New Kids on the Block's "The Right Stuff."
I think Al's older stuff is funnier. BHD is currently collecting dust in my CD rack, while DTBS and EW and other of his older stuff receive regular playing time. While I listen to PH regularly, it's mainly because it's new - the true test of the quality of an ALbum is how often you listen to it after it's no longer new. PH has shown some signs of staying power, however.

Musically and lyrically, no contest...the 90s-current albums are better. But I don't think he's as funny as he was. He's still razor sharp clever and his writings spot on, but that doesn't translate to funny.
Don't get me wrong, I laughed a lot on the first few listenings of Poodle Hat (And AWBP still gets to me), but as soon as I got used to it, I only giggled here and there.

You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
