Well, I must confess that I found my poem here. There was a poetry topic before. Looks like it got buried, though. Anyway, maybe we could merge this topic with the old one?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I find that acceptable.

I didn't know there had been a previous poetry topic. Had I, I'd have surely posted there.

Quick ditty for all us folks whose lives Al has saved...

Every once in a while,
When my life would get sad
I'd get the Deep Dark Depression and just feel so bad
But I found a solution
To prop me up like a staff
I’d put on a “Weird Al” CD
And he’d make me laugh and laugh and laugh!

That was another nice poem. He helped me through a hard time, and still does.

Did you like my poem?

hmmm....lets try some of this creative writing

Short but sweet
he's the man with the long curly hair
and he travels from here to there
he makes us all laugh
and we think that he's smart
a genius - we're all aware

he's the man we all long to meet
we look out for him on the street
we think that hes nice
like *sugar and spice*
to see him would be a sweet treat

*thats the best i could do in about two minutes

That's good Alberta!

(I try to write ones about Al, but they're never, ahem, appropriate for all ages):

Dare I ask what you mean not appropraite for all ages?

Pretty good, alberta. I like it!

:Y

Mine is kind of an ode to a similar-sounding poem called "Trees". It has the same kind of flow, I guess. Is that a poetic parody, perhaps?
