I have readthearticle several times now. I find it interesting that this is likethe ONLY interview you ever see that paints Al in a bad light. That makes me think it was done by amatuers.. and the way it was written it makes me think it was written by stoned and drunk amateurs. I was so outraged by this the first time that I just yelled at my computer. The second time, it made me wonder if our boy suffers from depression (of course being interviewed by those two would make me depressed also.) It also makes me wonder if the interview was done at all, of if itw as their attempt at a PARODY of an interview... hmmm... who knows... but it was shockingly poor no matter how you look at it

SD is right. I have two letters from Jay Levey. He was kind enough to tell me I could make the Chocolate Al suckers. *That was the first letter. I had written to him to ask about it, after Jon suggested I do so.* He said it was fine, as long as I didn't try to sell them to make a profit for myself, which would involve copyright infringement, because I'd be using Al's image without his permission. The second letter I got from Jay was in response to the request I made to sell Chocolate Al suckers to raise money for Comic Relief at AlCon III. He said yes to that request, too. So, since Jay was nice enough to:
1. Answer my letters
2. Allow me to make Chocolate Als AND sell them at AlCon III for charity
I say we refrain from decapitating him.
Sorry for veering off topic, Bobbi. Just defending Jay, that's all. I'm not a big fan of that interview, either, but, I suppose sometimes we need to see these types of things. I'm glad it's not that often.

Yes, I agree with Scotti that having Jay decapitated is a
bad idea. But he's kinda on the short side-- having him stand up on a roller coaster might not do the job anyway.
Anyhow, Jay only apporoved it in advance probably-- tweak.com must have somebody or something exercising the functions of an editor, and that entity, upon seeing the finished product, might have said, "Hey guys, do you realize that this article has a whole lot about your alcoholic predilections and puerile contempt for people whose clothing choices you don't approve, and not a whole lot about the supposed subject of the interview?" Then he, she or it could have trash-canned the article while the authors were off looking up "puerile."

You don't think they self medicated? I mean, self edited?

Sorry for that last remark folks. As an Al fan, I'm ashamed for saying that. Jay Levey is the reason why Al is such a success. I just can't tolerate people who instult or try to bash on others... When I was growing up, I always got teased, chastized, humiliated, you name it. Whenever I see others do that to others, I go off on a rant.
I seriously think that those two guys should've done their homework and do a little more reaserch when interviewing our boy.

Just a simple trip to the mothership would have saved them from most of their stupid blunders. I mean, even the newest Al fans know that Al doesn't accept parody ideas! And to have the nerve to say that Al offended them by dismissing it!

Jay Levey, from what I've seen and heard, is stand up guy
all managers should be like. He stood by Al in good times and bad, and obviously has helped our boy become rich and famous!
Anyway, I don't think Jay knew these two guys would act like jerks. However, I can guarantee they won't have a shot at Al again.
Still, we can take comfort in the fact Al has still come out on top... as a guy with class, humor, kindess, and a warped mind which we all know and love.
Go Al!
