I thought the concert was terrific. It was the first Al concert I've ever attended, so I brought three close friends (one who is a big Al fan. The other two like his music a lot, but aren't rabid fans) and my dad (gotta get a ride!). The anticipation was killing me, but as soon as Al and the band hit the stage, it felt like I was in heaven on earth. The crowd was terrific. They were enthusiastic, laughed a lot, and were full of energy. They waved their arms (and we did too) in the air during 'Amish Paradise,' and even a few did what the audience in the 'Lose Yourself' video did when Eminem was on stage (it's hard to describe, but it's like pointing your arm at him...). Anyway, we tried to wait for autographs, but one of my friends started feeling sick so we had to leave. Shortly after, it rained, so I don't know if we missed much.
Still, I am determined to meet Al!
The only problem with the concert was the light used during 'Dog Eat Dog' (it was blinding most of the audience from seeing Al), and the fact that the audience was seated
around Al, therefore, we'd see his back for a whole performance sometimes. But actually, it wasn't terrible. The energy was enough to make us glad to be there.
BTW: My friends and dad loved it... and did Al end up signing autographs?
I feel sad... I miss Al now...
