World of Weird Al Yankovic

Missed WAY today on our extra channel of the month , named STAR! . They had a programme called the Top 20 of the Wildest Hair (Bands) and Al was on 16 or 17 ( Cher was on 1 ) , so I can't tell you what they said about him .

I will look at the rerun ( ? ) in about 12 hours time.

I watch the re-run and he was on 17.

They show some short clips of his videos ( Eat it , glossy look ) , ( Amish Paradise , coolio look ) , Like a surgeon , Fat . But the main thing someone said he had more like "Balkan Afro" hair and that's why could do those looks . They ended with I lost on Jeopardy.

Well, "Balkan afro" hair on a guy with Yugoslavian hands does make a certain kind of sense.

Thanks for letting us know about that, RWDW. That's very interesting. I'm curious to know exactly what a "Balkan afro" looks like, though.

Balkan afro

So I took a little trip to good ol' Amish country in Lancaster, PA... and as we were driving by a hotel called the Continental Inn, we noticed something awesome on the sign:




So its kind of a grainy cell phone picture, but if you can't read that, it states that they feature Weird Al Karaoke Tuesdays from 8-1. Not sure exactly how that came about, but I might have to make my next trip out there on a Tuesday!
