As you saw, the list of Walk Of Fame recipients for 2012 is out, and sadly, Al did not make the list. 
Al is having a great 2011 so far. We're around halfway in and already there's a new album, new book, and new music video out, and new tour on the horizon. It would have been a nice feather in his cap, but I guess it wasn't meant to be this year.
We wholeheartedly believe Al deserves a spot on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. We will be nominating Al once again next year, and we will continue to do all we can until Al gets his well-deserved star!

Usually I am pretty sympathetic to their choices as I can understand why most of them deserved to get a star before Al. Not this time. This is the weakest group of names I've seen since this campaign started.
Of this list, only Vince Gill, Heart, and Barry White "deserve it" more than Al.RECORDING:
Pepe Aguilar, AMERICA, Boyz II Men, Hal David, David Foster, Vince Gill, Jennifer Lopez, Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) and Barry White (posthumous)

I seriously don't get why Al gets passed over for this time and again. it makes no sense. BoysIIMen? really? Pepe Aguilar,David Foster,Vince Gill? who?
I saw something a while ago that said that 88% (i think it was) of all Americans of all ages were able to identify Weird Al from a photo, more than could identify some other famous people. I'd say that was famous enough for a paving slab with your name on.. GAH!

I think the real problem is there's ONE guy on the committee who picks all the musical star recipients, and he serves indefinitely. Whoever the guy is, we may just have to outwait him, if he doesn't like Al.
