Yes, I think Virus Alert is the only logical choice in that pattern he's been on for... I guess 11 years. It's a good way to mix it up, and I think that if it is played, it will be one of the rotating songs like "Bob"/"Why Does This Always Happen To Me?" except most likely not rotated with any other original track off of SOL.

You're right. Your Horoscope for Today has exactly the same problem, so just as well he never tried singing that live. He would've died!

If you think that Your Horoscope For Today and Virus Alert, are even near along the same lines...I can't help you.

I am stunned and sad at the same time. I didn't expect to hear that.
Really? I too had the exact opposite reaction. I was surprised it made the '07-'08 tours, honestly. (I guess he figured it was similar to "White & Nerdy" and would appeal to the audience who came to the show out of love for that song). Sure it's a nice high-energy song that works well early in the show, but as Al mentioned on the podcast, it's embarrassingly outdated. All the tech mentioned is 10+ years old, and the Y2K line is just sad. As Chris Hardwick mentioned, "In the real world it's not really about the pentiums anymore."
I could have sworn that he did do virus alert on the last tour.
I thought he played it on a FEW dates, as a replacement for "I'll Sue Ya!" when his voice wasn't feeling 100%. Can anyone confirm?

Anyway, if he does it this tour, I hope he dresses up as Russell Mael and has Ruben dress as Ron Mael...

Horoscope is indeed wordier than Virus, and Al actually DID perform Horoscope. All throughout the Poodle Hat tours. It's too bad he died from it; I'll miss him.

Horoscope was indeed played in '02, but it was on RWS in '99. You're thinking of "Party At The Leper Colony."

I would have thought the Funniest Member recipient would've been able to recognise a joke when he saw one.

I guess in the back of my mind I thought "Wanna B UR Lovr" was going to be cut to make way for "craigslist". (It could still be; just a wait and see thing.)

Pentiums was always one of my favorites live, so I'm still sad to see it go.
