Is it strange that I haven't kept track at all? :lookaround: I know that my first show was at the Tulare County Fair when I was 11, and that I went to a few when I was a kid. I know I've seen him at least 20 times since I've been an adult, based on the ticket stubs I've hung on to. But aside from that, no idea.

Thats just insane. Thats ALOT of money on the same band, not that its not awesome in any way but there are sooo many awesome classic bands doing shows around the world, I couldn't just go to Al shows. Theres too many great bands to see out there (Im not talking about anything that has come along in the last fifteen years). Al and the guys are one of the best shows, I love it to death but I couldn't just see them over and over and over and over and over again without going to see all the other legendary acts that still play today. Which is why I've seen my favorite bands all about 4 times, Al I've seen 5 times, and theres whole bunch of classic rock and metal bands Ive seen 3 to 4 times. Seeing the same set live more than 3 times is a bit excessive too, then your just spending more and more money on the exact same thing. Seeing the same band on different tours is great 'cause its a whole new show. Anyways...continue on!
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Its not just about the show though, I know the East Coast group makes an event out of every show. Dinner, talking, hanging out. Lancaster we had dinner at 530, and left the venue at 1230. Seven hours for a concert that was only a bit over 2. I dont think I would go to as many shows as I do if that didnt take place. Granted we dont normally spend seven hours together, but its still a good time. Plus the travel is fun. I always said I would only go where I could come home from, but I had a blast going to Cleveland last year. Got to see the house from A Christmas Story and the Rock Hall. Im hoping to hit a Cali show so I can go to the OC Fair. Maybe Disney. I know you will say why not just go there, but I love seeing my fellow fans, and if I went to those further shows, Id meet more of you. And Im sure our traveller Jeremy would agree with me

Oh I bet he would LOL. Me and my friends do the same thing, going to concerts is our way of life. We usually travel to festivals, where we can see like 30 awesome bands we're into over a couple days. I could only convince one of my friends to do an Al trip this year, in Verona. Glad he came to that though, although he would have enjoyed the Toronto shows much more 'cause his fav's are like Lasagna, Theme From Rocky XIII. I had a choice of shows that weekend and chose Al in Toronto over Nuclear Assault, Suicidal Tendencies, Voivod and a bunch of other bands that were playing the Baltimore Deathfest in Maryland. Glad I chose Al this year though, the DVD will make it even more worth it! Its really tough to get my friends to go see Al though....nearly impossible if Al and the guys are not playing here in Ottawa which is rare.

Yeah, would have to absolutely agree with that Mike. The show is a great part of going, and personally I don't even mind the same show over and over--it's always somewhat different, but getting to see everyone is another huge part of it. Lancaster was a blast. Mom and I got to hang out with Dave and Terri for a LONG time after the show. Not even sure what time it was when we left. Verona, we had dinner at the casino buffet before the show. Definitely always a nice time.
