I think she was just trying to be helpful, Ryan, and she didn't understand the context of your post. I don't think she was trying to spam.

Easy, boy! I'm sure you'll get more action in your private little sub-forum soon enough! :P

He intentionally cut out the first few words of the quote which were key in revealing the context of the quote. It sounds like :spam: to me.

He was also quoting from a post that is nearly 2 years old :)

Ok, folks. Be nice :stern: Cut the newbie some slack. I'm impressed that DQ was actually reading the old posts. Also, we all accidentally double post from time to time.

Welcome aboard DQ. Don't let ryan scare you. He just woke up on the wrong side of the poopdeck this morning.

Welcome to WOWAY, DQ! I remember what it was like to be a newbie and I went and posted my own threads without reading ones that were already posted...True, this forum has a lot stricter rules than some of the other forums of which I'm a member, but the rules are here for a reason, so you just have to get used to them.

I can't find a better place to ask this quick question so here I go...
I got my hands on the Gump cd single and I was wondering why the orchestral and instrumental versions of Spy Hard sound exactly the same.
Am I missing something?

I don't know why they chose for the orchestral version to be instrumental as well, but there is (you guessed it) an orchestra on that version that's not on the other one.

The difference is slight, but it's there. The orchestral mix is just the actual orchestra track, while the instrumental mix also includes Jon, Jim, and Steve's studio contributions. To me, the most noticeable difference is the lack of a drum on the orchestral mix.

I can kinda see the point of including the orchestral mix on the single. After all, how often is Al going to hear an 85-member orchestra perform one of his compositions? It was probably added on its own just for the "This is so cool! Check it out!" factor.
