I'm sure that was it.
It baffles me why anybody who is at all fond of Al would be shooting dirty looks at the woman who makes him extremely happy.
If you love Al in any sense worthy of the name, you're happy he's happy.
If you just want him. tough luck. Buy a cardboard standee on eBay.

"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Oh, I thought that was a joke....WeirdAlsBestFriend @ Oct 14 2007, 09:23 AM wrote: I think that they're confused with Suzanne talking about being married to Al when girls gave her dirty looks?
Unless she was getting hate mail or something

I finally just watched the show on youtube. It was pretty good! Like others have said, there wasn't a whole lot of new information, but there were some great comments from people that we haven't heard from in interviews yet, like Ben Folds, Seth Green, Drew Carey, and of course, Suzanne.
Probably my favorite bit was when he was trying to explain that he has been the only highly successful comedy artist for three decades. He's so dang humble, that you could see him trying to figure out how to say it without sounding pompous.
I was also glad that they didn't focus overly-heavily on the few negative things in his career, like the Coolio and Eminem situations. But I was surprised that they didn't make at least a mention of his parents' death. I think he probably asked them to keep that out of the show for personal reasons.
Thanks so much for uploading that, Rachael! I hope they make it availale to buy on DVD sometime soon.

My favorite part was when he was talking about Nina and how she likes music and things, just like her daddy. That was really sweet.
Overall, I thought that was a very informative bio, I found out some things about his childhood I didn't know before. Also, watching the other celebrities talk about Al was really awesome.
Thank you so much Rachael for uploading this!!

Whoa! Let me starighten this right away...like_im_27again @ Oct 14 2007, 12:18 PM wrote: I'm sure she did get a few dirty looks early on when they were dating/engaged. Remember, Maria--you were at a concert when she first appeared with an engagement ring, and a few Al Gals were a little upset. (wasn't it you who told me that?)
Vikki
I was at the concert where we saw the ring for the first time..... but I don't remember anyone being upset about it, just surprised.... I was a frequent poster in Gals at the time and knew pretty well all of the frequent posters (can't vouch for everyone on the list at the time, mind you eh?), and everyone seemed happy for him... Proof of this is that most of us either send in presents or donated in their honor to Comic Relief. I don't know who the dirty looks came from, but it was certainly not from anyone I associated with at the time.
Remember, back then Al-Gals were made to be "evil" by certain people that were very active on the newsgroups at the time. There was a lot of rumors and ill-willed comments made about us and 99.99999% of them were nothing but a load of bull****. I don't want those days to come back on account of something said on the show that IMHO was not directed to any particular group.
Yikes! I did not think anyone would relate Gals to this after all these years
