James is with 2 record companies, Custard and Atlantic. Both are American. If Al went to Europe to deal with this song, it would have been to talk with the man himself.

There are four other possibilities I can think of:Al decided that after this setback, it was a good idea to see all the artists and/or records in person, just to be sure. Al had trouble with another artist somewhere in Europe, but resolved it with a visitAl went there to inspect sites for and discuss a European tourHe went there for fun. Nothing wrong with that, is there?

In other news, I submitted the good news of "You're Pitiful" to Fark.com. Although it's unlikely that it will be accepted to appear on the main Fark website, it WILL show up on TotalFark no matter what.

A little OT, but my display name on MSN is "Fartypants". Also, you can set a personal message, and right now, it's:

You're pitiful, it's true.
La la la la loser.
Your dog would much rather play fetch by itself.
Well it just sucks to be you.

i was reading the poll about wether or not your pitiful is going to be on the next album and someone said something about an e-mail that he sent out. So i'm asking, what e-mail????

If you're on the mailing list on his website, you should have gotten the e-mail.

This doesn't warrant its own topic. Mods, maybe you could move it over with the Bermuda topic about the song?

Btw, that's not necessarily true, Barneyslayer. I'm on the list, and didn't get an email. Neither did a bunch of other people.

Working in the email marketing/mass email delivery industry as I am, I can tell you that being on a mailing list doesn't 100% guarantee you'll get every mailing... when mailings are sent, legitimate addresses can miss out on an email because their ISP's mail server is unresponsive at the time, or perhaps bounces the message back because it thinks its spam, etc. Even if a server thinks that the sender is making "too many connections" to it at a given time, it might start bouncing messages back. Usually this is why once an email list has been traversed once, a mass email software will usually go back and try some of the unreachable/undeliverable addresses again in case they were good and just didn't get it for a reason like the above.

Sorry for the long boring explanation of why you might not have gotten it. :lookaround:

I'm surprised I got it when I added my email address like 3 or 4 times... Does adding it multiply times have anything to do with wether or not you're gonna get the email, Adrian?
