Saw this on some random game show. I think it was called Street Smarts or something.
The host was asking some girl questions on the street somewhere.
Host Guy: You would put Grecian formula on your what?
Weird Hippy Circus chick: Uhhh... Pita bread??
Host Guy: So you'd eat it then?
Hippy Chick: Eat it, yeah.
Host Guy: What are you, Weird Al Yankovic?
*cuts back to him on the studio stage thing*
Host Guy: Had to get a Weird Al reference in there.
I thought it was cool. He pronounced "Yankovic" right and got a song reference too. She didn't get it.

That's funny, Carol!
Too bad he didn't say moldy pita bread.
That would've been another Al reference.
It's even funnier that the gal thought Grecian formula was possibly some sort of sauce.

Hehe. According to IMDB, there's a cool movie coming out.
And apparently there's someone named Suzanne in it, and an IRS agent, too.

That is a cool mention, Carol. Too bad the girl didn't get it.

I was just watching "Still Standing" on CBS (don't ask me why) and there was a mention of Al. In the episode, the parents needed to make it look like they had Rolling Stones tickets and lost them so that they could take their friends' tickets. They made it look like the tickets were accidentally washed. The mom said she took tickets off of the kid's desk. He said, "Hey! Those were my Weird Al tickets! I sat right by his drummer, Jon 'Bermuda' Schwartz!" It was kind of a put-down, because in the series, the kid is considered really geeky. But, it was a mention nonetheless.

I hope this is the right place for this, it was funny, if a mistaken Al appearance...
I have a WAY calendar at work. For whatever reason, it makes my boss nuts. He likes to work it into conversation.
The other day, he is surfing online (his desk and mine are nearly back to back) looking for UV lights for this reptile cage we got in, and suddenly he taps me on the shoulder and excitedly goes "Look! They have a SHIRT with your guy on it!"
I turn, expecting to find he has somehow stumbled on the WAYStar Cafe Press store...
"Doug, that isn't Al."
"Sure it is, look at the hair."
"Those are SNAKES. That is a picture of Medusa"
"Are you sure?"
"YES. Why would they sell Weird Al merchandise on a reptile supply site?"
He looked again and then agreed with me.
