My mom emailed me the link to the video. She got it from a friend who got it from their daughter who got it from their sister who got it from me. Ha. I told my mom that I knew about it before it even came out... duh!! :P

Huh, I wrote a very in-depth review for Skipper Dan on iTunes yesterday and it still hasn't made it on the page. I'm not really mad because of that, but more because I keep seeing these really crappy, short and negative reviews being accepted left and right. The could have been put together in two seconds and had no thought put into them, yet they make it on the page like they're more important than the detailed, meaningful reviews of the song being made.

Not to mention there's someone that wrote a review that's talking about how all Al can write are parodies. Talk about out of place! :/

That was a nice read. Also really interesting to hear that John Lasseter used to be a skipper on the Jungle Cruise. I never knew that before.

At the moment, Amazon has it at #1 in the comedy category and #39 in MP3 song downloads.

And I reviewed it.

What name did you use when you sent in your review, so we know what to look for? I saw a lot of positive ones before I hit the negative ones, which are closer to the bottom. I read a negative one from a proclaimed Disneyland freak. This person seemed a little miffed that Al called the Jungle Cruise a ride and not an attraction. This person also defended the jokes, and said they weren't lame, they were classic, and that Al "horribly mangled the 'backside of water' joke". I'm guessing this person is a patron and not an employee. Also, this mal-informed person said this is this worst thing Al has done since the Mickey Mouse Club Polka from his album More Songs About TV and Food. Um, ok...

I think that "ride not an attraction" review is a joke. Probably by this guy. Since he ends by recommending multiple purchases of the song, I doubt that he's all that upset really.

Good for you! :) keep at it. I've written mine and it was accepted to iTunes UK & Amazon UK whether ANYBODY ever sees it is a matter for speculation though

Interesting seeing the UK Comedy chart

  1. Jizz In My Pants      The Lonely Island
  2. I'm On a Boat      The Lonely Island & T-Pain
  3. Always Look On the Bright Side of Life      Monty Python
  4. Ebay (Parody of "I Want It That Way" By the Backstreet Boys)      "Weird Al" Yankovic
  5. London Underground      Amateur Transplants
  6. Eat It      "Weird Al" Yankovic
  7. Hiphopopotamus vs.. Rhymenoceros (feat. Rhymenocerous and the Hiphopopotamus)      Flight of the Conchords
  8. White & Nerdy (Parody of "Ridin'" By Chamillionaire featuring Krayzie Bone)      "Weird Al" Yankovic
  9. Like a Boss      The Lonely Island
10. I'm Bo Yo      Bo Burnham

I believe Skipper Dan is #14. Ebay & Eat it (Al's only UK hit & very minor at that) seems to always be up there, but it looks like W&N is finally catching on

Yep, just like Al said in the Comedy Death Ray interview..."right between 'I'm On A Boat' and ' J :censored: In My Pants'..."

I'm pretty sure I posted it under "Mason K."

If I don't end up seeing it, I could try to "horribly mangle" my review and see if I can at least recreate it here. :)
