I meant to post this Friday, but I forgot:

In honor of the birthday of Ted Geisel (better known as "Dr. Seuss"), here's a Seuss 27:

Before finally getting his first book, "And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street," published, Dr. Seuss was rejected by 27 different publishers*.

* Wikipedia says that the number was 28, but even they admit that they are unsure of that number. According to the documentary, "In Search of Dr. Seuss," however, the number was in fact 27 publishers.

Last night, my bowling team won the last game by 27 points!

Also, I have a script for motion sickness patches *they're for vertigo in my case*, and I was just told that they will cost me around $27. The one good thing: Each patch is good for three days.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Not any time soon, but if I ever do, I'll certainly order through them, just because it's 27.

While I was working today, a customer managed to ram their cart into a temp display of sunblock, knocking it over. I stopped what I was doing to go pick the bottles up, and mumbled something about it being "the 27th time this has happened this week, you'd think they'd move the display somewhere else..." It didn't hit me until my break an hour later what I'd said. I wasn't lying though. Someone manages to knock that display down almost every day. And invariably, I manage to be the one to pick all the bottles up. All 127 of them. OK, I admit, that was a shameless plug. I have no idea how many there are.

During the evil day of the one day super sale at the grocery I work at yesterday, some lady did manage to get an order for exactly 27 dollars. She paid with thirty...I'm glad I rememeberd it too, considering it was...very very hectic yesterday. Ban all one day sales, augh. Anyways. A 27 dollar order. I was happier after that.

In my Spanish class in school we have a list of vocabulary words to memorize every week. The lists can range in length to being six or seven words to over twenty. This week we have the most that we've ever had so far this year, 27.

The headline of my school newspaper was "27 Hour Delta Delays." It was a real nightmare for seniors on their senior trip. The ones that took Lufthansa stopped in Munich before getting to Athens. The ones that took Delta went straight to Athens, but were stuck on the plane, grounded, for 27 hours.
