That's not really an Al reference. It's a reference to the original song. A nice rhyme that Al happed to have thought of 20 years ago.

just had my first ''that's not an al song!'' experience....
i was telling my friend in england about how i love Al, and [much to my disgust] he went and downloaded a few tracks, TNSWC and 'grandpa's a porn star'
fortunately he believed me when i said it wasnt Al

Dave, just so you know, Elvis and I already have the tracklist and basic info on the album. Please PM the information you have to both of us so that we can verify it.
Now, I couldn't tell you something I know nothing about!
Again, and to be really honest, we didn't ask. I wouldn't pry into something like that. If Jim were to say something that maybe he shouldn't, it could put his job in jeapordy (baby! wooo-ooh-ooh-ooh...). That would be a quick 24 years down the tubes! And it would be the end to a good friendship and I don't want that either! Plus, I want to be just as excited as the rest of you for the new album!!
He did let one of my emplyee's play a couple of songs on his guitar though. That was cool! He told Mike (employee) that he sounded a bit like Bob Dillon!

Is it okay for Dave to like, reveal the whole AL-bum in the Spoiler Forum?

Allright, all kidding aside. We talked like 24/7 for three days. We talked about the band. We talked about tours, (again, some really funny stories). We talked about Indy and Hawaii and L.A.. Talked Slack Key. Food. Wine. Snow. Cats.
He mentioned that they are getting together again the first of the year to record the last half of the album and that was it. We never asked what was on it and he never brought it up. I'm not kidding when I say I want to be as surprised as the next person. And, I don't want Jim thinking the only reason we are friends of his is because of the Al thing. Granted, that's how we met but we've become closer over time due to... just a friend thing, I guess.
I know I must sound like a party pooper. Don't mean to!

Don't worry about it Dave! You're doing the right thing. We just like to tease, right guys?
Your discretion is admirable. Probably why Jim likes you.

And I thought Jim liked me for my drumming skills.....
Well, you're probably right!
My drumming skills leave a lot to be desired, actually!

Thats awesome that you got to spend time with Jim West and even better that your not going to spoil us if you had known info on the album.
Oh, yeah good story. Guy in my lunch was saying accordians arent cool.
I contradicted him.
He said name one accordion player who is cool.
I said Weird Al.
He says Weird Al's not cool. He's......weird.
First of all, no duh sherlock. Otherwise we would call him Ridiculously Serious Al Yankovic.
Anyway. I won arguement at that comment. The guy just left me there. I feel good and I go home and listen to Smells Like Nirvana.
Thank You.
