World of Weird Al Yankovic

Team 1:  Cover

Nice attempt at a parody cover, however too much of the original cover artwork and text is there.  So, pretty much a cut and past job, with not a lot of thought put into it.  Nice use of Spam, though.  And I also like the Radioactive Split Pea cover.  Was the prize REALLY a million dollars?  This was a nice attempt, but I don't think the team's heart was in it.

Team 1:  Press release

I like that it talked about the history of WOWAY.  There are some grammar and punctuation problems, and I really wish there had been more information about what's on that bonus disc.  You know how WAY fans love bonus material!  Still, I think it's the winning Press release.

Team 2:  Cover

I like that the main image is a computer.  Also, the ocean scene as a desktop?  Nice touch!

Is the text "This is the back of the box" really supposed to be there?  If it's an editorial note, then it is very unprofessional.  If it is supposed to be there, it's funny!  The part that puts it over the top to beat Team 1?  Bonus footage of Dingo's nap!  That is worth the price of admission right there.  Team 2's cover is the clear winner.

Team 2:  Press Release

This review felt like it was copied and reworded from something else.  Not a lot of thought involved.  And doggone it, would it kill somebody to tell me what the bonus material is?  Not original, and not funny.  Sorry, Team 1 wins the Press Release portion of the competition.

So it's a tie. What to do? Since the challenge was for overall presentation, if both items are on a shelf at my local video store which one would I grab off the shelf first?

Mr. Trump, in my opinion, Team 2 wins.  But it was close.

And for the longest while, we didn't think it would ever be released........until now. This morning, Paramount announced the release of Survivor: Season 1 on dvd. Coming this fall from Paramount: The critically acclaimed (trust us) WEIRD AL SURVIVOR: SEASON 1! The Hamster and Poodle tribes, made up of 9 contestants each, battled it out for the chance of gaining immunity, and advancing its members into the further round of the game. I'd be okay with it. Y'know, some of the people who've played this cry and whine and complain. Which, in my opinion, is stupid. It's a game.

My Win/Loss record is 1/2 (One loss out of 2 managings). The first time, which is when we lost, was lost because not only had my computer got knocked off but also I did NOT know I was going to be the project manager.

iisryan. He (along with myself) has basically been holding the entire game together.

The Board Game challenge. It was pretty fun.

Although it wasn't a firing. Dingo's quitting. Which was in my little fad of quitting.

PMan. He has never really done anything significant. However, now that our Message Board is only 3 people, I think he "seems" to be doing things so not only does he look good but he has something to back up with in the Boardroom.

Yeah, they should. I'd rate them an 8 since they really didn't ask too many questions or, you know, get THAT involved into being accociates.

What do you think it takes to be a good moderator?

To be a good moderator, one must know the rules of the board forwards and backwards and not only enforce them, but try to provide an example for new members, and even the more experienced users. People look up to the moderators for help and guidance, so if the moderators are good posters, it will set a positive feel around the board, eventually rubbing off on all of the members.

How would you react if you lose this game?

From the beginning of the game, I didn't really expect to win, as I never win anything (I'm not talking about my WOWAY Survivor history, but other games, contests, hearts of millions, etc...) so I wouldn't be too suprised if I lose. I'm more or less used to it. But, on the other hand, the stakes are so high on this one, moderatormanship, that I would be dissappointed if I lost, after making it this far.

What is your win/loss record as Project Manager and how do you justify it?

I haven't been keeping tally of how many wins or losses I've had as a Project Manager, I'm more interested in how my team does, for if it wasn't for my other team members, we couldn't have won as many challenges as we have. I don't know numbers, but I believe we have won most of our challenges. My only justification is that we've had a lot of really great members on our team, Mecca, Akrovak, Spacedingo, *ahem* myself

If you lose this game, which of the remaining players would you like to see win?

If I lose the game, I'd like to see Mecca win. He's more qualified for the moderator position than PMan, definately, and more than the member left on the other team as well.

Which task do you feel was your best?

I feel the task I did my best in was the board game challenge. I really don't like taking credit for things myself, I like crediting it to my entire team, but I came up with the idea to combine Albuquerque and Risk, I typed up the rules, I made the board, I did the research on different locations and the best way to divide the board up, and I did the box art. The other members helped, as well, but I feel I really had a lot of fun on that challenge...I may have gotten a bit carried away, but I feel I did well

Whose firing surprised you the most?

I was suprised by Akrovak's firing the most. Him being gone wasn't any more suprising than Dingo or Sumo being gone, but the reason for which he was fired was what got to me. He cheated on a challenge, and for that, he deserved to go, but, in the end, he did the right thing by fessing up and taking the concequences, so, for that, I applaud him.

Which people would you least like to have on your team?

I don't have the list of fired players right in front of me, but, from who I remember, I'd like to have samuraisumo, Akrovak, and Dingo, just to name a few.

Which task(s) do you feel you could have done better on?

Well, the last challenge about the Survivor DVD had some technical difficulties, so you all had to see the cover with the typo (All Stars instead of Season 1) but that wasn't really our fault. I feel we could've done better on the website challenge (oddly enough, the only challenge I missed ) and I would've liked a *ahem* cleaner victory for the eBay challenge.

Of the 16 candidates, who surprised you by how they performed, either positively or negatively?

I was very suprised over PWJ, being an MIA player. He's usually a very cool and funny member who I would gladly adopt onto my team, but it turns out that he didn't really show up at all. It's a shame, I think he could've added so much more to the game. Of course, Bruce the Duck suprised me...but I like not to look back on that

Wouldn't they be expecting me to be a corporate spy, if I win? Especially after reading this question. Disregarding that, I would love to help out in any way I can If someone else wants to do it, though, by all means, don't let me have all the fun, but it sounds like it'd be a cool role to play.

I won't be hostile towards those that beat me out, so I'll help them with just as much drive as I've helped my team in the past. I'd like to see this season through, even if I'm not sitting in the moderator's throne.

It seems there were a lot of firings in this round that didn't need to be taking place, simply because the person quit out of the game. I think the person that deserved to be fired the most was Akrovak. As hard as it was to see him go, he cheated, and cheaters must be kicked. I would've loved to have him stay with us, but that's not the way he chose to play the game. The person who deserved to be fired the least was Sumo. He told me his reasoning, which I respect and is cool with me, but he still didn't deserve to be fired.

What will you do first if you win the moderating position?  And by that I mean what thing will you do first as a moderator. (ie ban someone, lock Drooling Over Al topic etc)

I'll use my powers sparingly. I'm not going to go off and start banning people (even Driew ) and pinning useless topics just because I can, I'll use my powers if I need to, and for the good of the board, not my own, personal enjoyment. Although, the powers would come in handy come the WOWAY Awards...

I really dislike only a few people here. I don't want to say any names, as not to offend anyone (just because they're spammers doesn't mean they don't have feelings too ) but I wouldn't want them banned solely because they're on my bad side. People should only be banned when they spam, but not just because I don't like them. This is a friendly forum we're running, not a mafia.

If we're letting the members pick teams again, no, they shouldn't be associates again, as it won't be any suprise at all. If the teams are picked by *higher powers*, then they should. But, next time, it'd be best not to spring the fact that they're spies onto the teams Just in case. It's a behind-the-scenes type job, so there's really no way to tell how well they're doing, but I do enjoy how Driew will make the occasional comment on our work to let us know he's still there Anyways, I'd have to give Bruce the Duck a 7 / 10, since he kind of dropped out half way through, and Driew a 9 / 10, just because he seems to have been doing his job nicely. Again, though, it's hard to judge from what I see.

To be a good moderator you need leadership and responsibility and you need to have good judgement.
If I were to lose I would be pretty shocked, but I would be Ok with it because this is the longest I have ever lasted on a reality show.
My win loss record for project manager was 2 wins 0 losses, the reason we won those challenges are because I showed leadership, and built something for the others to work on.
If I lose, Ryan should win.
The Coca-Cola Ad task, I felt I did my best because I made the prototype and I was the winning project manager.
Probably gtrmu, because I thought he was stronger/smarter than beavis.

I feel that I was weakest on the very first task because I couldn't put input into my team. But I was there every other challenge.

No, not BTD-3-10, Yes, Driew-9-10. Driew did about as good as he could do. BTD had problems and had to drop out so he couldn't really do much.

A:I think a good moderator needs to be able to not let personal feelings effect the way he performs his duties as a moderator. He also needs to know when to get involved and when not to involved.

A: Win 33 1/3% loss 66 2/3%. one of the two loosing tasks basically I did it by myself and was running out of time. On the other loosing task a couple of things were overlooked

A:I don't know what the first thing I would do if I was to win but I know that the position of moderator is a responsibility and is not a toy and has to be taken seriously
