World of Weird Al Yankovic

I think it's lucky that it was Namco that Al had to ask for permission. Recently they are very open to people who want to revitalize Namco IPs. (Personally I think of Toru Iwatani when I hear about Pacman. He is a nice person.)
Some game companies are much harder to approach...

Anyway Pacman + Beatles combination seems to be still newsworthy in Japan, and I see Japanese IT news sites are reporting the release. "Only one person in the world can think of doing such things."

I just saw that they updated the PledgeMusic site with a first look at the socks included with the sets. Unfortunately, you need to have pre-ordered the set to see them. I was wondering if anyone who has preordered the set could post the photo here. I've been wondering what the socks would look like and have been waiting to pre-order myself in the hopes that they would show them. Thanks.

Here's another thing:

I knew Platinum Vinyl Box Set Bundle order deadline is Feb 28, but I just noticed other box set items do have "All orders placed by February 28, 2017 are guaranteed delivery" notice.

I guess other bundles might become "sold-out" at some time after Feb 28...

Al was recently interviewed on The Kevin Pollak chat show (see here: https://youtu.be/KKNdufO9G7U" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and at one point he explained that since they cost SO MUCH to manufacture, they're making the number preordered plus a few more, but not tons. Those will then go on sale generally and once those sell out, they're sold out and no more will be made.

Preorder deadline has been extended to March 20.
