Still waiting for official word from Billboard before I get excited, but even if he doesn't get #1 it's probably still his highest charting album to date, which is an awesome feat in and of itself. But if it is indeed #1, that just makes it so much better.

An all time first for Al, MF charted at #71 on the UK Albums chart. Al has never had an album chart in the UK, and last appeared on the UK singles chart in 1992 with SLN.

This is such a cool news!
I'm so curious about what's gonna happen in the next weeks.
Finally people will start to speak about him and enjoy his works again.

I wonder if it will debut at number 1 in Canada as well. This would be Al's first number 1 album in Canada too.

So while PTW may have been seen as a weak single (And the Gaga saga probably did more harm than good), the figures pretty much make it clear that the album was already going to do fine on it's own, but the videos put it on a whole next level.
I think Internet Leaks kind of killed the momentum for Alpocalypse as well. For most 50% of Alpocalypse was more or less an extended re-release, whereas this album was 100% fresh.
But let's face it, this album also is spot on hilarity. Great reviews all around.
