I dunno Jace, you have to take where it's coming from with a grain of salt. It's linked on every article that gets written, so maybe they are clicking just out of curiosity. Yes, it's because of an interest in Al or Gaga, but it's still not a WaN situation where people were looking because it's a truly funny song/video. And how many of those hits are Gaga fans looking at it so they can attack Al? I'd love to believe it's all because of Al, but I know it's not

Except that one.

I don't know of any other self-respecting commenters who consider their own comments "wastes," but are you gonna waste another comment on ME? C'mon, I dare ya!

Still, Al took a very big risk on TSB that could very well have ended in this kind of disaster - he started recording it before he actually secured George Lucas' permission. Fortunately, Lucas loved it.

Can we please stop on both sides? Really now, it's getting old.

Coolio wasn't exactly the same exact thing, it was the complete opposite. Manager approved, and Coolio said they never asked him how he felt.
Oops. You're right. I don't know why I said that. Anyway, I guess you could say my point is that managers have a history of screening Weird Al .

It seems that most artists or actors have controversies that come out when they release something or are promoting it. Whether it be drugs or divorce or somthing just plain crazy. Al i guess is the same way, he just has problems with other peoples managers that are released out into the entire world.

If we had a busy day yesterday reading posts, blogs and watching the song, just imagine what kind of crazy day Al must have been. He probably started getting phone calls from tons of people he knew and Lady Gaga/her people, then deciding whether or not to still use the song then letting the world know the latest development of the Gaga Saga

* and on another note.... how can people say they have never heard of lady gagabefore? she is everywhere and is actually quite good.

I am amused that my Google Alerts are full of articles about this now.

The only that throws me for a loop here is her manager must be bi-polar or have mixed feelings about Al because for some reason he told GaGa/approved the poker face verse in "Polkaface" but then when a legit parody comes there way he/she (not sure what gender her manager is) makes Al jump through hoops then still turns him down... But i'm just happy it all worked out because personaly i love the song :good:

A weird little side note: Lady Gaga's manager also represented Nelly who approved Al's parody without any fuss at all.
