Well, except for that little animated hip twitch of Ruben's, everything else they've done is decent, so why not?
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I'm not comfortable in my comfort zone - it's poorly named.

Hopefully, that was a "joke."

EDIT: You know, I'm not TRYING to be negative, and I realize that's how many of you will read that statement, but the song just isn't very good and this is not the direction they should be taking this project.

They're all talented musicians, but let's face it. Al has always been the creative and funny brains in this operation. The band has basically just been there to back him up musically.

If they plan on keeping this going as a side project, I'd like to see them develop their OWN style. And make the songs completely unrelated to Al. And please, please, please DO NOT try to make them funny. Please!

I appreciate you stating your opinion without making anyone who disagrees with it feel bad. I do like the song, but, yeah, the next one might wanna go in a completely different direction. I'm looking forward to hearing more.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Well I'm very happy with it. I had no expectations of what it would be like and was happy to let myself be surprised.

As I said to Maria, people who are open in their admiration of Igor Stravinsky and Frank Zappa are never going to jump in the direction a lot of people may be expecting.

Well, Well, Well @ November 21, 2008 06:03 am wrote: So is this it for the band+Weird Al?

:o
Pfft. No. Why would they record a song called "Al's Band" while CALLING themnselves Al's Band if they didn't intend to go on BEING Al's band?

I really like it that they're wlling to show more open pride in their history with Al, considering the :censored: that parody/comedy music catches from the dismissive and inattentive. Because it really is an amazing achievement.

This is why I hate this forum sometimes. The attitude here is always "Okay if you don't agree with the majority opinion, get out."

I hate this song as well. If they do another song, I hope they don't make it about Weird Al and I hope they have some sort of actual lyrical structure that's not awkward rambling.

Al fans don't have to like every Al related song.

I'm sorry. There's a difference between Al fans with differences of opinion and people who come here just to bash Al and be jerks. And I don't see anyone in this topic being negative about the song intentionally trying to be a jerk.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
