Heh, now that I think about it, not only was my hair channeling Al's, but so was my shirt.

Yeah I noticed that, for a split second I thought you were wearing the same shirt... LOL

Great pics, Meli, especially your "Al and me" one!

That's really terrible about that woman throwing wine on Al, not once but twice! Water wouldn've been rude enough but it wouldn't have been the smelly, sticky, mess that I'm sure the wine was. I don't understand why anyone would want to go to any concert and get so blind, stinking drunk that they make an @ss of themselves and/or have little to no memory of the show but I especially don't get it for Al's shows. They're so much fun and energetic on their own that you don't need anything artificial to have a great time!

That's awesome that you met Seth Green, BS. I've never seen him in person, let alone talk to him.

At the very end, we caught sight of Steve and had a chance to talk with him for a bit, and say hello again to his wife and sons

Cool! They are such nice, gracious people! :)

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said. I started out with seats on the far end of the front row on Jim's side and all I could see was an amplifier and a light. About 3 songs in, I ended up front row, center. (Thank you Adam)
Horrible seats! Venues should not be allowed to sell seats like that. In my opinion it was nice for Al, too, that you moved to the center and he had you to sing to during the concert.

Where I was seated (fourth row), there was one empty chair to my left and two to my right. This one lady walked in front of me and proceeded down the row to eventually sit down in the third seat at the other end--she was seated between people already seated there. Doesn't make sense, does it? Why didn't she enter from the other end? Then she moved up to the front row near someone she knew, which was near where Melissa was sitting. Eventually two young teenager-ish guys sat down to my right. Then they got up to go get sodas or something. While they were gone, a man came and sat down next to me in one of their seats. The next thing I know, that woman who was near the other end, then up front, somehow ended up sitting next to the man next to me *scratches head* When the boys came back, this couple told them to sit in row 3 in the middle, which were better seats, so I didn't say anything. But I knew that if the people who had the third row seats showed up, I was going to help those boys boot out the couple next to me.

I was two seats away from the woman that tossed the beverage at Al during SLN. It was wine, not water. When Al threw the water, she had about 1/4 of a cup of wine in her hand and tossed it at him. Then she had the audacity to fill up another cup and throw that too! She had a carafe of white wine at her feet). Security was on her in a second and made her sit down. She was obnoxiously drunk and kept yelling "Irony" while he was singing Albuquerque. It was really annoying!
She was? I didn't hear what she said, either. I thought it went maybe on his pants/shoes. Sorry for laughing Al :lookaround:

When I caught a whiff of alcohol, I thought it was a coincidence since it looked like water and thought someone sitting closer to me must be drinking beer (I don't drink, so it all just smells like something rotten to me)--even with a breeze whipping around, why would I be able to smell something since I was so far back?

Al has amazing aim when he throws out the water, where it goes... and doesn't go *raises one eyebrow* I didn't see where the cup went, but there was a guy sitting behind the beverage-throwing woman who stood up and was showing a red cup, which looked like the nirvana cup, and this was happening while the beverage-throwing woman was standing up saying something *shakes head* It was all very odd.

I got a picture with Al but realized afterwards that I had my eyes closed.
Awww, better luck next time!

Here's my review of last night:
Thanks for sharing!

I'd add more of a review, but it's already too long and I can hear clips from Al's show saying "shut up! shut-shut-shut shut up!" ;)

Here's a nice LiveJournal review of the Greek Theatre concert.

My guess is that this will not be her LAST Weird Al concert. :)

That's a great review OE. I always love when people who have been fans for a long time finally get to see Al and realize how fantastic he really is.

I'm also happy because I finally was able to make my Myspace review blog, which I wasn't able to do last time because my mom "accidentally" closed the browser when I was 75% done. This concert was really good both concert wise and time wise. It landed on a nice day and gave me time to sleep in the next and get some concert back-up stuff done. OC landed on a summer school day and I had another after it so I was running on hardly any sleep.

Thanks for posting the link to that review, OE! One of the more enthusiastic reviews I've read in a while. I'm sure she'll be back for more!
