Ummm.... When I say "I'd do ANYTHING to get old Al-Tvs aired"

Maybe I don't mean ANYTHING!

Your probably right though...

Ok, I'll get Ruben, you get the cone bra, and we'll take it from there....

*that was not a quote from anything*

I'm still wishing that someday the AL-TV specials (and ALmusic specials) would be released on DVD, even though Bermuda once told me that that'd be impossible because of all the non-Al videos played and the rights they'd have to get to use them. But I never take "impossible" for an answer, so I'm still hoping. The fact that his movie, which didn't do well in theaters (I saw it in the theater!) and his TV show, which was canceled in its first season, were nonetheless both big hits on DVD should convince some company to make the effort and release an AL-TV/Almusic box set, but maybe I'm just an optimist...

In the meantime, everyone who has the specials (and the technological skills) should upload them to a file-sharing site, like...oh, you know...

It makes me sad to think that there are people who've never seen an AL-TV special. :oo

I've seen pretty much all the Al TV's from the '90s on. Didn't see the ones in the '80s, but then again, my age kinda prevented that from happening.

I've seen a couple thanks to the legend known on Dailymotion as Papa Boolie.

Kids, if you really really REAALLY wanna see an Al special, go on the website below.

"Okay Sting, now pick your nose and rub it in your hair."

I saw Al mentioned recently in an episode of the Jami Gertz show "Still Standing." Her and her husband concocted a scheme to make their friends give them their Rolling Stone tickets, and went through this whole thing throughout the episode. At the end, they took their supposed tickets, which were in fact their son's Weird Al ticket stubs, and ripped them up. The son got mad at them and said, "They were my Weird AL ticket stubs. His drummer Jon 'Bermuda' Schwartz signed them."

Then the dad said, "We have to watch out now. Nothing makes a nerd angrier than ripping up Weird Al tickets."

Sadly, so do I.

Just kinda sucks that Al fans kinda have the rep for being nerds. But eh.

Thats not true, some of us are dorks! :whoot:

But it must be said, Al fans normally dont look that cool. You go to a Megadeth concert, you see a sea of black and metal. You go to an Eminem concert, you see gangstas and wiggas carrying guns the size of my leg. You go to an Al concert, you see a stadium full of hawaiian shirts!

From the outside...I guess we do look a little nerdy... :F B)
