I've treated green and purple as the Al-team colors for a long time. Since green, purple and gold are sort of the official colors of Mardi Gras, they seem fitting.

A bit of Al-team lore: back in 1999 when this all got rolling, Sandy Farley of Phoenix AZ originally handled the Al-team shirt stuff. The shirts are that shade of green because Arnie the t-shirt printer guy [who agreed to print them for the Al-team at cost as a favor to Sandy] had a huge stock of that shade of green t-shirts and that way she could keep the shirt price down to $12.

Thanks for the history lesson, Diva. Hope you're doing well. I have one of the new Al Team shirts, and I think it's quite spiffy. I may have to add my Al Team number to my sig, as some others have done. I love my spatula earrings, and I hope to show them to Al someday.

Yes, it was nice of Nan to enlighten us. She was the very first online friend I met in person.

Well, I did tutor Spanish in college. I just like English, but I think OE is even better at spelling than I am.

The joys of Firefox and its spell check. Without it, I would have just spelled Firefox wrong.

That's ok. I once almost spelled my first name wrong. I told someone my name and they spelled it back A-m-b-e-r, a very common mistake. Without thinking, I said "yes" then quickly corrected myself and gave them the correct spelling.

I love my Al-Team shirt too! It pretty much screams "Hey look at me! I love Al!" The only thing is, as with most shirts with a design on the chest, I'll catch people staring at the front and think, "Hey! Stop staring at my breasts!" before it hits me they're looking at the design.

 Ambra!

I know what you mean, though. Especially since I started with my penchant for wearing all of these bold, splashy Al-related shirts... :P

Come to think of it, I still need to order my Al Team shirt...
