You can see the CD cover I made real quick in class the other day for the Dr. Demento 35th Anniversary Song...just something else I can put on the data disc. Click Here to see it.

today in school, i forgot to use a...

COMMA
Parody of Alicia Keys "Karma"

The teacher said that we had to write a long paper
It was in science and it had to be about vapor
But then we cried and tried and tried to make her take it back
And still she said that it was due and that we had to read
In front, talking bout everybody
Now you're saying I must speak clearly, No
Now you're saying it’s your everything
I’m having no fun
Punctuation, education, for graduation
Cause....

[Chorus:]
So dot your I’s, cross your t’s
And your I’s before e’s
Except when its after a C, then e’s before I’s
So dot your I’s, cross your t’s
And your I’s before e’s
Don’t get me started on parentheses

I remember when I was sittin home alone
Writing this thing til 3 o'clock in the 'morn
And when mom came home I’d always have some lame excuse
I kept writing but even then it was no use
I sacrificed the things I loved just to write that thing for you
Still no radio or T.V.
Did it all for you
Now I’m on word one hundred and three
Now you have the audacity
But I wanna have time for me
I’m having no fun, with punctuation
My education, for graduation cause

[Repeat Chorus 2x]

I remember when I was sittin home alone
Writing this thing till 3 o'clock in the 'morn
Hour after hour writing something really wrong
Wasn't long before I be done
Lord knows it wasn't easy believe me
Never thought I’d get it done, but yet so cheesy
And never thought I would get it done
You’d better give me an A, cause it was no fun

[Repeat Chorus]
Gotta stop trying to correct me please
[Repeat Chorus]
It's a comma baby so use it right

Abbott, that was a really good parody. I never really liked that song too much so I was thrilled to read your parody!

Wow, I haven't posted in here in a while.

Well guys, my band got together this past weekend and we worked on quite a few songs. 2 of these were parodies, and as soon as they're done, I'll post them. One is about Dreamworks ripping off Pixar, and the other one's about space aliens... or Vogons if you like that sort of thing.

...and I've read one and have heard the demo of another. And they're really good.

Thanks. =)

If I'm lucky, both of these might get done today, but the Dreamworks one is the only one I can guarantee for that.

Good news from the world of Parody!

I am currently working on my fifth parody for my album "Dive!" called "Copy Cat Strut", in the tune of Stray Cat Strut, by the Stray Cats. Much like Jace's "Dreamworks CGI", I am poking at Dreamworks' lack of originality when it comes to their CG films.

For all of you who think I'm stealing one of Jace's ideas: Absolutely not, in fact Jace was the one who inspired me to come up with this idea. Thanks, Jace.
