Unfortunately, the chances of that actually happening are slim.
And you know this how.....????

No, sorry, doesn't pass the sniff test. The most I'm really willing to allow her is the ability to realize quickly that she made a bad decision and move just as quickly to un-decide it.
Yes. Coolio employed a manager that was stupid enough to do the exact same thing.

As I've said earlier, I firmly believe that with "artists" (and I use that term loosely) like Lady Gaga, the manager is the one pulling all the strings. You really think she makes any of her own business decisions? Of course not, she's just a pawn of the music producers and record labels, and this whole thing pretty much proves that the musicians themselves often have little or no influence on any of the day to day decisions that impact their career. At least Milli Vanilli was honest about it.

I'm thinking maybe the manager didn't want to bother with it, and kept stringing Al along finally getting to the point of demanding the SONG of it, thinking nobody would bother putting the time/money into that-- not expecting Al to rise to the request.

Just a thought.

*ahem*

*stares at the ground* ....sorry....

*gets poked with a broomstick*

OK, ok....sorry Miss Gaga, for all the things I've said about you today and in the past.

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking.

OE, you're missing the fact that the manager who said "no" would also be the one who said "Send us the actual recording first". He probably didn't tell Gaga about it then, either.

My thoughts exactly, Helen. :Y

I'm always up for some good cynicism.

Let's burn down Interscope Records so this never happens again! :whoot:

I'm not sure whether to believe it's a whole lot of backpeddling or whether it was an idiot manager doing a bad job. I'm leaning toward the latter though since it does seem to make sense. I've never been into Lady Gaga so I haven't paid much attention to her stuff, except for the half-listening of when I'm watching the news and they talk about her. Regardless, I'm happy that Al gets to do his single and the video. I can't wait to see the video. I like the song pretty well and my mom randomly listented to it while I was at work and liked it as well.

Well, this has centainly been an exciting news day.
