By the way, can anyone confirm whether Al had appeared on a billboard before? I would have guessed he had.
I think both Suzanne and the mothership have photos of huge advertisements featuring him (if thats what you mean by a billboard)

Technically, a billboard is a huge sign that you see while driving along the highway.
So, maybe Al's right, and this is his first time on a billboard.

In Los Angeles, you don't even have to be on a highway. There are just billboards everywhere. I've never thought about it before, but that's kind of weird...

I'd be a little surprised if his name at least never appeared before on an OC Fair billboard. Anybody remember or have pics of when he performed for a week at the same time as the Weird Al Experience?

Surely UHF had some billboards when it was coming out, no?

I've never really seen a movie advertised on a billboard, and since UHF had somewhat of a low budget, I'm not sure that's the kind of thing Orion would have gone for.

I've seen plenty of billboards that advertise movies. In fact, the majority of billboards that I see probably do. Then again, I live in LA...

Ah, OK, I guess that makes sense. I haven't seen any in Ohio, but again, that also makes sense. Anyway, it's obviously a good way to advertise, and I'm excited the OC Fair did that for "Al's Brain."
