Running With Scissors was certified platinum on May 7, 2001 -- it was released in June 1999, so it took nearly 2 years. All that hard touring finally paid off.

so does Al have a gold and platinum certification for RWS or is it like they take away the gold one?

Yes, Al gets to keep both certifications. For a list of all of Al's certifications (and date of certification) for CDs, albums, singles, and videos, you can go to www.riaa.com . Just do an artist search for Yankovic.



I'm pretty sure Bermuda has a similar list in the weirdal.com archives.

Poodle Hat has gotten more media attention in rescent memories so I wouldn't be surprised if Poodle Hat made it inside the top ten maybe #10 or 9 I'm guessing.
