I dunno. I still think there's overlap between the Superbowl Song and the Marching Band song, and possibly the 6 minute song.

Pretty sure it's a 6-minute Radiohead style parody about the Super Bowl.

Re: Mandatory Fun (Album 14) Speculation :3
I've been playing a lot of Al videos on YouTube the last few days. For a while the only ads I was getting on these videos were for some Maroon 5 special TV event. I think that event happened last night? So those ads have stopped. But I was only getting the Maroon 5 ads before Al videos, not other YouTube videos I'd watch.
I just watched "One More Minute" on YouTube and they played an iTunes ad for "All of Me" by John Legend. "Buy the single today!" Why? The single has been out - and very popular - for months.
When it comes to Al things (not All things), I'm a natural conspiracy theorist. Could Al have gotten an agreement with YouTube to play ads on his vids for songs or artists he parodies on MF? Or am I crazy?
I was willing to chalk up the Maroon 5 ads to coincidence because they were promoting a TV special. The "All of Me" ad is what got me thinking more seriously about this.

Re: The Amazon Pre-Order!
Doing the math and averaged out, each song comes out a few seconds short of four minutes. Subtracting the 9 minute long song and the 6 minute other long song, that leaves about thirty minutes and 30 seconds. Divided by the remaining 10 songs, we are left with an average song length of about three minutes. Sounds good in my book.CharlesNelson wrote:We have the album's length!bermuda wrote:Yeah, but it's a 45:31 track with a dozen sections!

You sure that the "All of Me" ad wasn't for the remix?CharlesNelson wrote:I've been playing a lot of Al videos on YouTube the last few days. No, don't listen to me, I'm not allowed to divulge anything about the album. I don't know if that's an accurate time or not.
But where did the 6 minute song idea come from? Certainly not me!

According to the spoiler timeline:
This seems to be the only mention of it, so there may have been some misinterperetation here that everyone's latched onto.
viewtopic.php?p=795075#p795075" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;6/2: Alinite27 posts two things Al and Bermuda revealed to him after a concert. Al stated that all six originals were done. Bermuda stated there would be two songs on this album that would be as long as "Albuquerque" and "Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me".

Re: The Amazon Pre-Order!
Bermuda was talking to Dave and I after the concert at Port Chester, NY. That was slightly misinterpreted, but I just let it run. Jon said that there were two long songs on the album, a super long one (the 9-minute one) and a moderately long one. When I was reporting the spoiler, my words were "From Jon, there are two long songs: one super long like an Albuquerque and a medium long like a Stop Forwarding This Crap To Me.", so I was just generalizing what he told me to songs that we had heard on previous albums. So, the "as long as" that Casey put it in the Spoiler Forum as, wasn't completely technically correct.
