I'm a member of the 501st Legion, Ohio Garrison. It's a group of folks with realistic Star Wars costumes of the Empire and other bad guys. We found out that Al was coming to Southwest Ohio, so one of our command staff members contacted Kings Island to find out if he could use us during his Star Wars songs. Al had used troopers in another concert (I forget which one) and that's how we got the idea of contacting Al or Kings Island.
Once they gave the okay, the Ohio Garrison posted a request on its forum for up to 10 troopers but no more. I was lucky to be one of the first ten to sign-up.

Thanks for sharing that video! You know, from my vantage point, I didn't really notice that the dude on the end was so short. Maybe I was just paying more attention to Al and the band. Anyway, having been a fan since the beginning, I can only imagine what a thrill it would be to be on the stage with him. That's awesome!Mike F @ Aug 20 2007, 05:42 PM wrote: I've been an Al fan since the very beginning (yeah, I'm kinda old!). It was a huge thrill to be on stage with him. I'll never forget it!![]()

Hello all!!!
Hello Mike F!!!!
I was with Mike!!! I was the stormtrooper next to Vader on the right. I was actually out looking for additional footage. If anyone has any, that would be sweet. It was amazing to be in the show... something I'll always remember. I grew up listening to Al, and it was a treat to be a part of his history.
This looks like a pretty cool forum and group.
