Songs NOT by Al

And yes, many people on youtube are very ignorant and have serious problems with accepting the possibility that their sources/P2P file sharing clients may be WRONG!

most of the people who post non al songs always misspell his last name as 'Yankavitch' so that shows that they don't know much about al, or at least they are not a big fan. and when people comment saying that it is not al, people downvote those comments. foolish.

This one time last year, my cousin (who knows how much of an Al fan I have been since 92) pulled her cell phone out and started playing her ringtone and was just staring at me, like, "check it out!" I was just kind of confused. I said, "what is it?" She goes, "Oh. I thought you would know of all people. It's Weird Al." I just went, "...oh. Ok." And then she goes, "It's 'Weenie In a Bottle'". And, again, I just said, "...oh." I didn't feel like having this happen: "That's not Weird Al." "Yes it is." "No... it's not. Seriously." "Yeah it is." "K."

when people think a song is by weird al and it's not, they REALLY think it's him. even if the voice is diffrent (so diffrent that you can CLEARLY tell it's not him) and whenever you say "that's not al", they say "yes it is." and they stick with that. so annoying..

Has anyone found a near foolproof way to gently break it to people and convince people that these songs are not by Al, aside from carrying Al in your back pocket, or forcing them to look at the official website?

I usually can convince my friends because I am the resident Al nerd, but to those who do not know that about me or have not known me long seem very resistant. One time a member of my section (trumpet section that is) told me that these songs were by Al that he was singing/showing me on his MP3 player (Legs Wide Open I think was one) and when I told him, he refused. So I told him a little peevishly "No, they ARE NOT by Al. I know my Al, ok? Look it up!"

Later it got back to me that he thought and told people I was a *expletive* because of it.

The not Al page isn't even a good reffrence tool anymore...I've seen like 50 songs attributed to Al that aren't on there.

that (the beer song) is a weird al song cuz i seen it on one of hes cds before
