Pretty good setlist, Muppetboy. But you have Handy appearing twice.

It was still in there from when I copied the format from my dream setlist. Fixed! Thank you!

Do Al's shows typically (or ever) have opening acts?
How long do shows usually last?
(trying to plan ahead since I'm bringing my 7 year old)

Al's shows do not feature opening acts. It used to be up to the venue to select an opening act, but Al put a stop to that after some very inappropriate opening acts were selected.
The show is usually around 2 1/2 hours long.

I plan on buying a Mandatory Czar package in about an hour, and I'm curious about what the usual M&G rules are. I assume we get to take a photo with Al, but will the rest of the band be there?
Also, do you think I'll be allowed to bring my UHF poster for him to sign?

They haven't really given specifics and it's the first time he's done this. Backstage I've seen Jon, but nobody else. I'm sure if they have guests they hang around, but otherwise the rest of the band tends to hang around outside

I've seen every band member backstage, and even Jay, Suzanne, and Nina at one or two shows. I think it totally depends on the show and what's going on that night. A lot of it will have to do with the venue's own rules and what some random head of security thinks is okay.

I'd have to think on this a bit, but as for the medley he usually does, I'd definitely drop Canadian Idiot. I love it, don't get me wrong, but he could easily swap it out.
Alright, there are a handful that this guy mentioned that are probably NOT going to be performed live.
1. Weasel Stomping Day (I am sorry, I just don't see that EVER happening)
2. Whatever You Like (I could see that being dropped because it is irrelevant now)
3. Sports Song (Again, unless he could get a marching band every night, I think it would just be a waste of a song spot)
4. Perform This Way (Based on his recent interview, I am sensing that PTW will be dropped from the set as well...Just speculating)
5. Couch Potato (It was good in 2003, resorted to the medley in 2007, and I think it is gone for good now)
6. Dare To Be Stupid (Suits were in terrible shape, so the ones from the shoot were used in 2010...VERY HEAVY)
Most of the others are the ones we know will be there FOR SURE, but I just loved that he prefaced this by saying that he is most likely to play these songs, when really, I think it was some sort of a dream setlist. Not ripping on the guy, just pointing out some minor flaws, and my opinions on his picks. Or...maybe he knows something that we dont...
