Of course, being a local of sorts, you would think I'd know my way around. We had season passes for a few years not that long ago, but still, my back-seat driver had to point out the huge <--EXIT sign.
OK.... SO I HAVE A-D-D.... and it was dark!
It's easy to find the big signs when you' re not the one trying to avoid the traffic.
Wait! There was no traffic.

HaHa That's what happens when you have a car full of women who just got hugged by Al.

We were pretty much in the first few rows - front, left of center. For future reference, if you scan the entire topic right before the show, most people will offer their seat info so we can find each other. If not the specific seat, then at least the row.
You mean you didn't see the crazy lady who was NOT asking people to sign the petition? Or, the very tall blonde college student who also was NOT asking people to sign the petition???

Ha! I was accosted by that "Crazy Lady"!!! It was very cool to finally meet!
(and Al had your bracelets with him on the bus so I believe he will give them to who you intended them to go to!)
How was THAT for a "run-on" sentance??

Hi guys, I was at the Kings Island show. It was a great show indeed. The stormtroopers were awesome.
Me and my brother were on the 8th row, unfortunately for us all the Weird Al money blew in the other direction of our section. Good to hear that some of you "racked up."
So, pardon me for my newbie ignorance. But did anyone that stuck around after the concert get to meet him? Besides the ones with passes that is?

The security guys seemed to usher people out pretty quickly after the show ended. The security there were the true Stormtroopers!!!
I think the only people who got to meet Al at this show were the Meet and Greets.

Yeah, he will. I just hope they fit. I had a buyer for the large one, but said, "No way".
That was a FINE run-on!
He's such a gentleman - I asked if he had gotten them yet and he said, "Yes, but I haven't opened them - should I" or something like that. I said "Certainly!" or something like that.
By meet-n-greets, you mean with passes. Yes - at Kings Island, because the park is closed by the end of the show and everyone wants to go, and the bus is in a secured location not accessible to the park patrons, they don't let people "hang by the bus" for autographs.
Um....and don't try to find the bus before the show.....The security guards there are Cracker-Jack, right Diva & Carole?

Hello all !
I'm proud to say that I was one of the Stormtroopers on stage at the concert. Here's a vid of our appearance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N32osSc0TXw
I'm the second one from the left, next to the too-short-to-be-a-stormtrooper dude. I'm standing right behind Jim and in front of Bermuda. It was a very shallow stage and I was told not to move around too much while dancing so I wouldn't thunk the band.
My avatar pic is from that night after the show at the meet-and-greet. I also talked with Jim before the show. They are the nicest people!
Before the show, the band (and I think Al's wife) met in the food tent (where we were eating at the time) to celebrate Bermuda's birthday. Al kinda stood in the back of the group quietly watching the impromptu party. He struck me as kinda shy, or maybe he was saving his voice for the show. I didn't sense any ego or arrogance on his part. He seems real and down-to-earth, which says a lot for someone who has so many adoring fans. I have a few pics of this moment which I'll post links to as soon as I upload them to PhotoBucket.
Here's a group shot of all of us, with Al wearing Vader's helmet and holding his lightsaber:

I've been an Al fan since the very beginning (yeah, I'm kinda old!). It was a huge thrill to be on stage with him. I'll never forget it!

Thanks, everyone, for the great reviews. Congrats to all who got to meet Al, and get hugged. I remember how great his hugs are, indeed. *sigh*
Mike F, awesome video footage, and what a great pic of Al and your group! He looks so cute in that Vader helmet! Glad you had a good time! I'll be seeing the Michigan Garrison onstage on September 23rd. Can't wait!

Thanks, Mike! It's fun to see a vid taken from the wings like that. There's nothing funnier than storm troopers rocking out.
