I'm pretty sure you have to sign a release form, especially if the photos are being distributed/sold. Maybe you should shoot them an email about it?

You mean the other images with him in the Hawaiian shirt and Chamillionaire? Those ones were pictures of before the awards when they were rehearsing. At an event like that, if they get eye contact with the person (if you look at the camera and smile), you have given them consent to take the photo. When its an event with celebrities, generally it's considered a public venue, and they can take your photo.
