I was actually just thinking about this earlier, and thought it might be a great way to help out the forum.
Once the album is finished, we could have a trustworthy member sell CDR copies for, say, $5 plus the cost of the CDR, case, booklet, S+H, etc. They would get their money back for the materials and the cost of sending it out, but the rest could be donated to WOWAY.
Anyway, I'd love to contribute liner notes to the project.

I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

But you have to watch out on the music that's been used , you just can't use original music for your parodies ( copyright laws ) without permission.anthontherun @ Jul 11 2004, 07:52 AM wrote: I was actually just thinking about this earlier, and thought it might be a great way to help out the forum.

Or am I wrong?

I know there is a law that you can do a cover of anything you want but you have to give royalties...
As for original music, before it goes on the album, make sure you copyright it!

But that means we can't sell it.anthontherun @ Jul 11 2004, 04:15 PM wrote: I know there is a law that you can do a cover of anything you want but you have to give royalties...

CaféExpress can distribute Audio CDs. You just mail a master CD to them and they'll print it. I'll check it out. If that's not suitable, there are plenty of companies that do dedicated CD copying, and they might mail it out too. Personally, I'd like to have a company that mails out as well as reproduces CDs, otherwise there would be a few people that couldn't buy it due to parental restrictions on the publicness of their address. For example, me.
