I always love shooting at Westbury, though when I bought the tickets, I could swear they said they were doing a half-round with no rotating stage this time... so that would kind of be a bummer if that's the case.

Looking forward to it either way, of course! :ttr:

Not a fan of rotating stages. It seems you get only 1/6 the view you would get at an end stage theater.
The one time I went to Westbury, I was not happy with the few pics I got.

Best thing about it is it's a likely meet n greet spot.

You are right Adrian; it is a half-round show with no rotating stage. This is from the venue's ticketing page:
This performance will be played in the half round, the stage will not rotate.
This performance will be be played to sections B,C,D,E,F and G, Sections B and G are
side partial view. No Seat in the Theatre is more than sixty feet from the stage.
Interestingly, there was a VIP Meet & Greet ticket package (which now appears to be sold out) available for $74 per person from the venue/Live Nation's ticketing page.

Will be seeing Al for the third time at Westbury. This time, I'll be taking my son (big fan as well). I purchased the tickets on-line with the "Meet & Greet" option. Hopefully, it works out. My son (as well as me) would flip if he actually got to meet Al in person! Any tips for a first-timer? Thanks!!

Yes.

Also:
Don't try to give him your great idea for a parody.
Try not to ask him the same old questions he gets asked a million times.
Compliment him briefly, then maybe ask him a question about one his recent projects, like his new book. Even better: buy a copy, bring it, and ask him to sign it.

Thanks for the tips!

Just treat him like a regular guy, say thanks and move on.

How long (usually) do you have to wait to meet him? And anyone who's met him at Westbury, where's the best place to meet? If it was just myself, I wouldn't care, I'd wait all night and most of the next day. But IF there is a possibility of meeting Al, I would love to give my son that opportunity. I just want to be prepared. Know before you go, right? :D

Depends on the amount of guests really. You have a pass so it'll be quicker. The first time I waited 10 minutes, the second time I didn't see him at all and the third was about 30 minutes. Outside by the bus you are looking between 1hour to not at all.
