In the recent Comedy Central special Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions, Paul closes with an extremely hilarious story about an encounter he had with Al one time. Some of you might be familiar with this story (they talked about it when Paul guest-hosted the Comedy Death-Ray podcast and Al was a guest) - it starts like this. Al isn't mentioned in this clip, it's just the setup for the bit where he IS mentioned.

For those who missed the special on TV, it will also be available on DVD this Tuesday.

Al was mentioned in a category on Jeopardy.

The question had song lyrics from a certain year. They had to tell the title and artist.

The lyrics were from I Lost On Jeopardy.

Yup, I saw that tonight.
When I saw there was a category about novelty songs, I had a feeling there might be an Al mention.
The lyrics provided were:

"Well, I knew I was in trouble now
My hope of winning sank
'cause I got the Daily Double now
And then my mind went blank"

Appropriately enough, it WAS a Daily Double question. Unfortunately, the contestant's mind went blank, and she didn't get it.

How cool is this... Al was mentioned AGAIN in a Jeopardy! clue last night! That's twice in 10 days.

Last night's category was "V"ocabulary, and the clue was that "Weird Al" Yankovic was at the top of his high school class. The word they were looking for was "valedictorian." It was during the Teen Tournament and, happily, one of the contestants DID get it right.

On The Simpsons Season 15 DVD, one of Al's red carpet pictures from last year's 500th episode party is included in a scrapbook of photos form such Simpsons themed anniversary celebrations. It's included under extras on disc 2.
