Wonder if any of the room decorations was from Al himself. The shirt probably is and the eat it jacket.

I definitely found the subplot with finding someone to go with way funnier than the scene with Al himself.

I wonder if they came up with the idea of setting the last scene on the set of ALTV themselves or if that was Al's input. Either way, I'd say the brains behind the show are pretty big fans of Al to get a lot of that stuff down in the episode.
I thought it was great! I don't watch too much HIMYM, but this was definitely a fun episode.

That was supposed to be the set of AL-TV? I thought of it as what the production designer of HIMYM thought Al's office in the 80s would look like.

Eh, that's at least what I thought it was supposed to be. I see similar set pieces to it, anyway. I definitely feel like the person that put it together was at least inspired by it.

When Ted was explaining the situation to Kevin (Kal Penn), I totally expected Kevin to be like, "You didn't ask the world's biggest Weird Al fan" and unbutton his jacket to reveal an Al t-shirt.
The one real misfire with this whole storyline was that Marshall didn't immediately accept Ted's invitation to go to the concert. An Al show would be totally up Marshall's alley, no?
I wonder what Peculiar Jacques thought of "Canadian Idiot"...

Maybe there's a difference between listening to Weird Al's Greatest Hits while... eating sandwiches... as opposed to actually shelling out the money to see him live. Maybe this was all an elaborate commentary on the inefficiencies of PAID, Inc.
