QUOTE but my favorite part was the guys who gave money to Ruben (to stick in his own pants) during LAS.

That's pretty funny. How did that happen? I'm just asking because Ruben usually doesn't stand on the very edge of the stage, so one would think it wouldn't be as easy as simply slipping a bill to him.

Also, it's just I've seen Mongo literally dive into people who approach the guys while performing.

I also just want to pass along kudos to Dave for his eloquent analysis of the "audience participation" factor of the concerts. It is cool that we can enjoy the shows on a sort of personal interactive level, but as it has been illustrated, it can get a tad excessive (Christmas lights??).

So now the question is, should there be another sticky message once the tour starts, a sort of "concert checklist" of when to join in?

Checklist of items to take to WAY concert:

Silly String (in case Rubén wanders close enough.)

Dollar Bills (Same reason.)

Ring toss rings (Same reason.)

Big Stick (to beat the other Al-Gals senseless so Al has to pick my lap)

More Dollar Bills (See above, only for Al this time.)

Tupperware container (to seal in all that Yankovic sweat once I have my scarf/boxers.)

More Dollar Bills (can Mongo be bribed?)

Fainting Couch (it's gonna be heavy, but if Al picks my lap, I'm gonna need it.) *Note To Self* if anyone asks if you want any help with that, the proper answer is "Yes, please!" Not, "No, I want you to cut off my arms and legs with a chain saw."

More Dollar Bills (Who do I bribe for aftershow passes?)

Lucky, lucky, snorkel (to get autographed.)

Sign that says "Can I have a hug, Al?"(I won't be able to breathe, let alone speak intelligently.) Is there a fan-freak-out to english dictionary available so Al knows what I'm talking about?

Still More Dollar Bills (I haven't even been to the Official Merchandise Table yet!)

Am I forgetting anything?

For you, you may have to just resort to semaphore.

CatraDhtem, IIRC the guys were reasonably well-known to the band and crew (regular tour chasing fans), they just waved the money in Ruben's general direction and he came up and took it.

And [slap myself on forehead] I forgot -- the best thing to bring to an Al concert aside from a Hawaiian shirt on your body is BUBBLES. They're harmless and clean and add so much to the atmosphere.

But they have a little onstage bubble machine. Would you need to bring bubbles? That's like bringing fake snow.

Adding your own bubbles to compliment the bubble machine just adds to the fun -- like singing along.
