 Why does it matter whether she's in the polka? Al routinely "interviews" people who he has not parodied or included in a polka medley (Jessica Simpson and Kevin Federline being two recent examples).

Last time I checked, she was not. She seems to have completely flown under Al's radar. I just thought if Al was putting together the interviews at the last minute that she would be a likely candidate. From what I've seen, she would make for quite an absurd interview.

Nicki Minaj didn't have any hits until well after the polka was recorded.

1996? That was the worst ALTV special he ever did. That was the one where MTV had the brilliant idea to have him play an original video followed by his parody for two full hours.

1996 was awesome, definitely wouldn't call it the worst one! The ones with the Road Reports on the Candian Tour were so wicked. And the two best mock videos were in '96, the Smashing Pumpkins "1979" one is awesome, I think it is anyways, and that Alannis Joy Ride one too, is hilarious. Alot of the best interviews too, the Robert Plant one, the one with the Stones and the Billy Joel one. The Madonna interview from that special was also good.

I liked the 1996 AL-TV, but it's probably because that was about a year after I first heard of Weird Al and that AL-TV allowed me to see many of his early videos as well as the originals for the first time. Also, I probably watched and rewatched that particular VHS tape about a hundred times or more.
