Well, he's obviously capable of it. Whatever ends up being the next big thing he'll have to look at and take into account when he's coming up with his last parodies.

Also, I think Al stated somewhere that he DID have a couple of ideas in his head, but can't act on them now.

I honestly do believe if he can come up with a good enough lead single, it will be even more successful than White & Nerdy and would really launch him into the stratosphere as far as mainstream respect. Already the entire comedy world is united behind Al, and that's something that has happened primarily since Straight Outta Lynwood was released.

Of course this is all assuming that :

A. People will still care about Lady Gaga by next year

and

B. Her next album will be popular and have a hit single on it

This may seem like a no brainer, but in this fickle pop culture driven society we live in, neither one of these things is a guarantee.

The entire comedy world is united behind Al? Care to elaborate on this statement, I don't really follow you.

Okay, so maybe TMBJon was exaggerating a bit, but I get his point.
There have been numerous examples of comedians expressing their appreciation of Al in the past few years. They have showed their support through collaborations, as well as by their comments in various media, such as printed and video interviews, TV appearances, Twitter, and many more.
I think it is fair to say that the comedy world in general thinks very highly of Al.

Yeah that's pretty much what I meant. He was invited to the Night of 140 Tweets thing, Michael Ian Black publicly sang his praises in an article, he has been collaborating with the Funny Or Die team as well as Human Giant and The State cast members, etc.

I'm hoping Al doesn't make the same mistake he did with Alapalooza, Running With Scissors, and Poodle Hat: choosing the wrong parody to be the lead. While Alapalooza was a success (not cracking the top 40 but still going Gold in a few months ain't half bad) I think it would have been bigger if "Bedrock Anthem" or "Achy Breaky Song" were the lead. With Scissors, it might have sold almost as well as BHD if either "Pentiums" or "Rabbi" were the lead single. I doubt Al knew how popular it would have become, but if "eBay" were Poodle Hat's lead it probably would have sold a lot better. Besides, "Couch Potato" just comes across as a little lazy if you ask me.

If there is indeed a Lady Gaga parody on Album 13, and said parody is the lead single, would this be only the 3rd time in which the lead single has been a parody of a woman behind Madonna and Toni Basil?

Dunno when the album is being released, but there should be a Lady Gaga parody. Everyone discredits her, which is unfair to her.

But, depending upon the release of Al's next cd, and if Gaga has an album out, that could be the target. "Bad Romance" could be a decent parody, but if the release is in the next few months, would be a terrible Lead-off song.

I'd see Al possibly going the 'rap' route again. It's not going away people, and I hate when people get upset over something so trivial "Oh, another rap parody?". It's a highly profitable musical venture and to ignore it completely is just foolish. Who he'd parody though, tough to answer without really having a release date 'set.'

It's definitely thrived more than the other parodies on the album, but the original song was four years old at that point. If he'd released it as a single, the reaction would be that he's behind on the times. In retrospect, once it became clear that CP couldn't be a video, that should have automatically revoked its eligibility of being the first single, because all of Al's biggest hits before and since owe pretty much all of their success to videos. But yeah, the song itself hasn't exactly aged well, and not just because a handful of the references are no longer relevant.
