Nope, the proceeds from the stuff that Jon donated to be auctioned off at AL FEST will go to the Make A Wish Foundation. The proceeds from the AL FEST dvd have always been intended to cover the costs of AL FEST, and believe me, there were many, and so far they are coming out of my pocket. I don't have the final numbers tallied, but my best estimate is that ticket sales paid for only half of the AL FEST expenses.

For those who can't wait for the AlFest DVD, two announcements:
1) Amerah just showed me her video of the event and it is totally awesome. She's going to debut it on YouTube (presumably with links here) at noon Mountain time tomorrow (Saturday). It really gives a great glimpse into everything that happened all day in just under ten minutes. A job well done, Amerah!
2) If you're not doing anything Sunday, watch this space. I'll be posting a link to "AlFest2," a live stream where I'll be uploading all the raw footage from AlFest. You won't be able to see it, but you'll be able to hear it and you'll be able to see me watching it and making a running commentary about it. And maybe I'll hold the camera screen up to the webcam sometimes. And if there's a demand, maybe I'll sing a Weird Al song.
AlFest2. A one time only event.

Man, I loved Amerah's video. It's gonna be hard to top that in the DVD, but I'll try...
Anyway for those of you interested in tuning in as I review and comment on the raw footage, "AlFest2" will be airing around 1:00pm Pacific, and should run for at least six or seven hours.
