How long ago was that? I don't remember hearing about it.

I had forgotten about that until just now, but I think that it only happened about a month and a half ago.

QUOTE (Insert Coin(s) to Continue @ June 06, 2009 08:09 pm) First of all, very great find. I'm excited about this.

Excuse me for being out of the loop, but is Craigslist still topical? Is it still popular? I haven't heard of people really using it for 2 or 3 years now.

We advertised for a drummer for Problem Child using Craigslist. Two guys called, but never followed up. The drummer we have now used to play with the band a long time ago. We got him back because our bass player called him. Our bass player has also posted our gigs on Craigslist.

haha, can't wait for this to be released.

The preview sounds great. But I do believe Craigslist received some (bad) publicity from this very forum... not too long ago.

Hasn't prostitution also been an issue on Craigslist recently?

I believe so, yes. Pranks have also been a problem.

Does anyone know about the process behind the preview clips? Does the artist get to select them, or is it the label, or the site itself?

And it's a good minute longer than any of the originals on SOL. Nice. A Doors style parody is a great idea.

Against my better judgment I listened to the sample--it's mostly just music, so other that one line at the very beginning, don't worry about any jokes being spoiled. I've only heard 30 out-of-context seconds and it's already way better than "Whatever You Like." :P

The website does it automatically.
