It sounds as though TMZ wasn't stalking him, but rather somebody who happened to be there called it in to them. Which I guess is very slightly less obnoxious for Al than being followed around.

I'm glad no one was hurt. I was in a similiar accident a few years ago--rear-ended by pick-up which pushed my car into the one in front of me. The force of the impact spun my rearview mirror around and broke a spring in the driver's seat. Ended up with a case of whiplash as a result.

I am glad he's alright. At least it wasn't as bad as the crash George Lucas was in (his car flipped over three times and his seatbelt snapped and made him fly out of the car. If the seatbelt didn't break, we wouldn't have Star Wars, and that means no Saga Begins or Yoda).
