Drooling over Suzanne? Hehe, each to their own I suppose.

I've gotta be honest here, if I saw Al in a supermarket or something (which would be REALLY rare, livng in Britian and all) I would have to really stop myself from whipping out my phone and taking a quick picture as proof I saw him.

I think its all about consideration. We shouldn't go absolutely psycho fan and start drooling and ranting while hes trying to buy his frozen peas, but I think it would be ok to walk up and say 'Hi, Im a big fan of your work, your music is excellent. And thats a fine choice of peas.' then leave.

I'd ask him if he knows the best way to test if a nearby fruit or vegetable is ready to buy

"Oh no, that's going to be mushy.. has to sound hollow when you knock on it" and I'd just soak up whatever wisdom he'd care to share

ok, so I'd be sweet, polite - one of those pleasant encounters he doesn't mind where I'm not a nutty fan... but some how work into the brief conversation what he uses for his curls

My hair can be really curly and spirally (not so much as Al's) but I use a deep conditioner, then later a leave in conditioner.. the hair is so shiny and bouncy

If I saw him in a store or something, I wouldn't do anything other then go behind a counter or something and spaz. I wouldn't have to guts to even say hi. Well, maybe, but probably not. As I learned, I get pretty star-struck when I just kinda....turn around and see them.
