I'd recommend waiting, too (and investing in good ear plugs when you do take her). My brother's twins are four and they love Al's videos, but I'm not sure they could sit through a concert yet.

The best one so far is when some jehovahs witness came to the door and Alex answered it, holding a toy dog. Before the guy has a chance to talk, Alex thrusts the dog teddy at him and yells 'TOUCH MY POODLE!!' :whoot:

The guy ran a mile.
Oh Jolly good!!!! :D

My family isn't very kind when it comes to Al. My brother thinks he's annoying and my mom thinks he's too depressing.. Which I do not understand at all. <_<
My dad is the only one who never says anything negative about Al.

My family is very neutral about him, to say the least. Although, my three year old nephew loves Eat It and always sings along when it plays. Which annoys his mother/my sister to no end.

My brother liked Al when he was younger; my mom gave him the "Polka Party" cassette tape for Christmas, even though she had no idea who he was. That summer, my step-brother was diagnosed with a hernia so you can guess what song my brother took great joy in blasting every chance he got!

I've showed my mom some of my concert photos and she did make the comment that he looked handsome in a couple of them but then she had to spoil it by saying he looked like Kenny G! She also said he looked like he had a lot of fun performing and was amazed at the number of costume changes, asking me if he ever took a break during the shows. When I wore my SOL album cover concert shirt when I was home this summer, she asked, "Is that your singer?" when she saw the pic on the front. I'd hoped he might do a show in the Tidewater, VA area this summer because I think I probably could've talked her into going with me but maybe next tour!

I agree w/ you Nancy. We took all 3 of ours to the Lansing, MI show last summer and while they were all really into it, my 4yo fell asleep w/ about 4 songs left in the show. It might have been because he refused to take a nap that day, but who knows. If we see him again this summer, it will just be my wife and me.

Now, back on topic - Obviously my kids love Al, as I have previously stated. Also, my mom is a big Al fan and has been as long as I have (23 years!) and was verah excited when Al agreed to talk to her on the phone last year. Of course, the next day, she told her white and nerdy friends that she calls up for tech support at my hometown hospital in Texas where she's a nurse. My sister, who lives in WA, told me her hubby's nephew was trying to tell her about Al and was flabbergasted when she told him, "I know who Weird Al is, I've been listening to him since I was, like 5."

none of my family likes Al... I was listening to Eat it on my iHome, when my mom walked into my room. she said, "this is something you're going to grow out, right?"

i just said " whatever, mom" in my best annoyed-teenager voice. <_< :(

during christmas 2007 i went to my grandparents and i was wearing "the weird al experience" shirt i got off the website(i never really went^_^) i was sitting on the couch watching TV and my grandpa walked by and asked who was on my shirt, so i said "weird al yankovic" and he said "it looks like tiny tim!" i was confused until my dad said who he was. my dad said that tiny tim and Al look alike.(the tiny tim from a christmas story is not who im talking about, its some other guy who looked like Al and was tall, i dont know why he was called tiny tim so dont ask)

and another story:

my brother doesnt like Al for the most annoying reason.....Al did a Red Hot Chilli Peppers parody.....and everytime "Bedrock Anthem comes on in my iPod i sing along out loud just to annoy him :P I also do that to get revenge from something lol

and just like Izzfizzbizz, but instead of my mom its my brother, he always asks "Are you ever gonna grow out of Weird al!?" and my response is always "nope! Because now i have a person weird to look up to!" because im pretty unusual for your average kid :D
