Um.. Well I have driven to far away places to see bands I like. I would go if it were maybe within a five or six hour drive. Is there going to be another ALCON in 2009?? That would be nice considering I have never been to one. I would love to see UHF in a theature that would be sooo much fun. It wouln't be anything like Rocky Horror by no means, I mean there wouln't be cross-dressers or dancing. However, there would be many people quoting the movie as it was playing. Now here is another question... would there be multipe showings because I am sure with as many fans of Al, the theature would be packed like a can of spam!

Wait, I thought this was for actually watching the film UHF on a movie screen.

Now I've completely lost interest.

Well, if I can get it presented locally, it'll just be watching the movie, no RHPS touches.

ok this is what im thinking, UHF plays fri, sat, sun as a regular showing, and on fri at midnight, our rocky cast would perform it, yes like rocky, and yes ive done it b4 with al fans doing the parts, it was at dementia 01 in bloomfield mi, jon was there, dont remember if he watched, i was too busy, i would love to have a ALCON 09, but i doubt that will happen at all, so dont get your hopes up, just the movie. now this depends on the owner, i wont know til next yr sometime, if more comes up, ill keep ya posted

I saw UHF in the theater in its original run. It's been my all-time favorite movie ever since, and I watch the DVD frequently, over the objections of my daughters.

I used to go to RHPS as a midnight movie, and it is a blast. But UHF doesn't need costumed performers acting it out. I think a bunch of Al fans just sitting in a theater talking along with the lines spoken by the actors (as my hubby calls it, "Nerd Karaoke") would be tremendous fun for all. I can see us all chanting "the box, the box!" or yelling "You get to drink from...the firehose!" in unison. It'd be a great party. But it would be best done at an AlCon or that weekend at a nearby theater, so fans wouldn't have to travel hundreds of miles for just the movie.

If the Al-Gal Slumber Party idea ever comes back, that'd be a great place to do it, renting a big screen and showing the DVD.

I have a terrible confession to make :S - for whatever reason (not sure what it was) I haven't seen UHF yet *runs away in embarrassment* Don't know why I didn't see it when it first came out - maybe because it wasn't in a lot of theatres or something (up here in the northern cold of Canada, lol)

I want to see it over the holidays - I've seen a few clips and oh.my.god it looks funny!!!

This whole "UHF-in-a-movie-theater" is a really great idea.

There is a local movie theater that plays classic/cult movies. They have a suggestion box. I think I might just have to go over and put a little suggestion in the good old box.
"The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" - no, "UHF"!

Plus, they have contests and classic cartoons before each showing - I wonder what could be paired up with Al...hmm?

:whoot: Holy Cow!!!!! :whoot: Holy Cow!!!! :whoot:

Do you all know what year it is?????? Thats right!!!!! Its 2008!!!!! Next year will be the 20th anaversary of UHF!!!!! Sweet Twinky's thats two decades old!!! OMG! I remember 1989 too. Yikes. I can't believe its almost been 20 years since that movie came out and our pal Al is still going strong in the music industry.

Wait a minute....

:whoot: HOLY COW AGAIN!!!! :whoot:

Weird Al has almost been in the music industry for almost 30 years?? And he still doesn't have a star on the hollywood walk of fame, or is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet??? ;( Thats sooooo sad. The industry needs to stop sucking so bad and wake up and say "Hey we screwed up... we should of never fired George Newman because he's got imagnation!!" Oh wait... sorry. Ha, Ha. UHF on the brain. Well anyway.. They really need to. So many undeserving celeb's get there stars or get inducted. Grrrr.... Me so angry! Oh well at least Al is normal and doesn't get himself on TMZ. Eww.
