How long are these episodes usually?
I wonder how much of the concert footage they plan on airing...and I wonder if this is going to be about Al's rise to fame (I mean, kinda like the episode of Driven) or have anything more recent covered like his family now and stuff...

One hour, if my memory serves me right. Which means, without commercials, it's about a 40 minute show. :-P Ok, ok, maybe 45 minutes.

These things usually will do the typical interview pattern. When he (or another person being interviewed like seth) start talking about the live shows, it will B-Roll some of the footage. So, let's hope they talk about the tour a bunch!! I mean, as far as I know, that's the main footage they have. They will probably pull from Bermuda's archives of photos and such, and maybe some other sources too.

I don't have cable, so I'm really hoping that someone will record this show and that I'll be able to get that from them!!!

I could be wrong about this, but if memory serves A&E Biographies tend to get immediate DVD releases! Usually these DVDs are only available online, but still, a fine addition to any AL collection - as long as they lay off hard-to-obtain-rights-to clips of the original videos Al parodied ("Beat It" alone would fetch a pretty penny) - fortunately that was VH1's bag more than anyone.

Now, this is NO MORE than my own presumption, I'd like to make that clear, but if I were Al I'd use this opportunity to stuff the A&E DVD with special features like, oh I dunno, the videos for "Nerdy," "Creep" and "Drive-Thru." And maybe throw in some raw concert footage of songs like "Wanna B Ur Lovr" and maybe even "Albuquerque." Again, nothing more than my own presumption.

Please, don't bother them. They get enough junk mail as it is... we don't want to make them angry. A little while back, I sent them an email to try and get some information as to the predicted release date, among other things, but I haven't heard back.

Well are their releases an actual DVD release, or the "To order a copy of the program you have just seen...." type. Because I dont think that type of DVD would have bonus features, and they already charge an arm and a leg for them, I cant imagine the price with extras.
