08/04/07 Charlotte, NC: Carowinds

Hi all! I'm not exactly new to this forum, but I haven't posted anything in... well, a long time. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I will be going to this concert! This will be my first (and, sadly, probably only) show on this tour, but I saw Al twice during Poodle Hat Tour(the first time at Carowinds) and once during Touring With Scissors (also at Carowinds.) The really awesome thing about this show is that my girlfriend is coming with me, and it will be her first Al concert! I'm so excited and I know she'll be blown away. But I did have one question for Alinite27 and Ambra. Anyway possibly my girlffiend and I could meet up with y'all after the show? We'd really love to meet Al, but I've never known where to go. Mind if we tag along? Looking forward to a great show!!!

Well, I don't know where to go either; Alinite is the expert on finding the tour buses, lol, but I'd love to meet up with you guys afterwards! Actually, I'd kinda like to get a pic of all of us WOWAYers together, before or after the show. I wanted to do the same at the Glen Allen show but things were a little chaotic with the weather beforehand and the security chasing us out afterwards. When the date gets closer, we should post what we'll be wearing so we can spot each other!

Yeah, that'd be fine with me. I want anybody and everybody to meet Al who can. The busses were really hard to find at this place, but I eventually found them. I just hope I can still remember the exact way to go, and that there won't be any security blocking the way. Sometimes on this tour, there has been. Places are too protective now.

Saying that, though, I wouldn't see why we couldn't. Can't wait to see you all, there...and have another Al concert at Carowinds!

Actually, as some of you know (:cough Greg cough:), I'm moving to PA and will be seeing the Glenside show!!!! (Too bad, and too good!)

know what happens when you forget to check on ticket sales for THREE DAYS? you get boned. so now i'll just be happy with the tickets i get. whatever though, all sarcasm aside, i WILL be happy!

we need to be sure to have a WOWA get-together or whatnot. i'd like to meet you cool cats.

the show's coming up this week and i got my tickets in the mail two days ago- much better seats than i was afraid i would get.

Hello all! Five days to go! W00t! Lol, anyway, just wanted to update everyone who wanted a get-together on what my girlfriend and I will be wearing (for identification purposes). I had planned on getting together this really awesome (and totally nerdy

) outfit with all stuff related to songs on the Al-bum (Viking helmet, golden fanny pack, felt pancreas, I love Canada sticker, etc), but due to low funds (stupid minimum wage job...) I have had to cut back quite a bit. I'll be wearing my Poodle Hat Al-bum cover t-shirt, over which a garish (yet robust!) bright yellow Hawaiian shirt. My girlfriend, a new yet enthusiastic Al fan, has made a really awesome Al t-shirt, bright pink with white lettering (she would kill me if I deprived her of the chance to show it off personally, so I'll not reveal the message there writ upon). I can't remember at the moment where y'all's seats are, but we're row 3, seats 1 and 2 (awesome seats!) if that helps us all find each other. Incidentally, are we going to set up some meeting place or just all try to gravitate? Wow, this turned into a much longer and more detailed post than I meant... Sorry all, I'm just so excited about this concert!!!

Duke--what section are you in (A, B, C, etc.)? I'm in Section B, Row 2, seat 18. I'll be wearing black jeans and my SOL album cover tour shirt and I think I might have a Hawiaan style shirt in the back of my closet somewhere. I have long hair--all the way down my back--which I'll probably put up in a ponytail or I'll at least be wearing a headband to keep it out of my eyes. I'll also be wearing a light blue with black trim fannypack, not as any particular W&N reference but because I don't want to drag my purse all over Carowinds during the day.

Since I'm sure most of us will be at our seats a good while before the show starts, maybe we can just search each other out then, maybe get our pic in front of the stage?

Hi, I'm new here (my name's Laura btw) My parents got me tickets to the show at Carowinds (I got them for 14.95, because I have a season's pass there!!) I'm just writing to ask how hard is it actually to find the buses at Carowinds, for those who saw him last time, and about how long does it usually take after the show?
